Great can’t say no to more Yeelights. Bought 3

    This will save me from
    Impending early nightfall.

  • These things are amazing. I've got three around the house and have been so useful in the early years of our two kids.

wow this is the 1st gen with usb charging (which is better than gen 2 with AA)
surprised they got stocks again on this item.

    • I checked the one I bought last month or so during the latitudepay (?) off wireless1, with the $50 off $150 spend, the production date on the box was July of last year (2020/07 on it)

Was looking at a eufy lumi x3 binglee $19 sometime back (but that got ozbargained) and wasn't so keen on buying a heap of AAA rechargeables.

Quick browse for generics/etc on amazon/aliexpress that are roughly similar (in specs but 700mAh battery and smaller detection range) and hook-less come up between ~$4 to $6 per unit (cheaper in larger volume purchase off aliexpress)

      • the problem with those generic you get from ali, photos looks good actual thing, badddddd….
try if you dont believe me.

hmm ok probably they re-prod this thing. pre-covid, consider lucky to find ali store sell this for $30 each

Are those comments not from bot accounts? I'd rather go for Xiaomi or Baseus lights. Roughly same price, but look nicer

    • nope i have this, xiaomi and baseus, this one here is better

  • bought 9 for free shipping :—)

  • OOS already? damn

    • -3

Just go to ali express . Plenty of choice for same price

      • +1

have a look Mike you wont find it at similar prices.. same model…..

  • Didn't last long!

  • Damn, missed out

  • Tried to buy when they were in stock. It was 23.08 though.

Damn, missed out… I love these lights I have 6 of them already in the house… I would have bought 10 at this price.

  • Dammit hopefully they get more

  • These any good for outside? Detect movement in walkways etc

    • At a guess would need to be sheltered from rain……………then there's condensation?

    • +1

      These are better for outside.

  • 834 Sold

really? i doubt it but who knows

  • Surely they will get some more??? Out of stock now

  • Damn, so quick.. missed out. Really wanted to get one or two.

As a boomer what are these for really? Light your way to the toilet? I'm really struggling to find a use, generous question.

    • +3

You can use them anywhere it's dark to make it less dark.

Kind of like a fire, but with a motion sensor, rechargeable battery and slightly less chance of burning your pinkies…

    • Yeah perfect for that in sensor mode.
I've also used ours for finding kids toys in the middle of the night. The light is bright enough to find things but not so bright that it's totally blinding like a torch (or phone in torch mode)
We also take ours camping as a tent light.

Downvoted coz of auto correct, sigh.
Thank you for your replies! I haven't snubbed my toe in a while and my kids have moved out (bless them, wish they never had. Only have the youngest left) don't have the lego syndrome any more!
Was just wondering why these are so popular. I've had couple of perma lights long time ago and limited to power point's and they were quite useless. Hance my question which should have been worded better.
        Thanks anyhow!

  • Wow 120 day battery life i gotta check this. Sick of changing the top stairs light all the time

    • Mostly likely you will get 180 days or more unless you purposely moon walking infront of it

  • Wish they have more. Bought 2 of these 3 years ago at 8AUD. Extremely good value.
