It seems as though the inside of this jug is actually glass not stainless steel. There small flasks are normally stainless aren't they?

The stainless steel refers to its colour, and correct it is glass lined inside.

The smaller bottles can be either slicksteel or nonstick coated, but yet to see them in carafes

      • I'm just wondering, isn't it dangerous if glass-lined inside?? in case it is broken and you don't realise it and drinking it with water?

        • good point, although I hope it will be a bit more robust due to the vacuum gap between the outer shell when it gets dropped!

on research there does seem to be a stainless one (thanks richy_o!). need to keep my eyes peeled on that one

@rocketice: Not saying a stainless inner lining is bad, but having glass prevents stains and residue taste of old tea leaves/coffee.

        • You will generally know if the glass breaks in these thermal pots as it generally shatters and you can hear it.

if the glass inside were to break it would shatter and be a hot mess inside. You'd definitely know about it before you drank your tea. Generally the best thermal flasks are glass inside.

  • Showing as $45.81
