This will go well with my chopper.

    • -8

No it won’t unfortunately. You don’t earn velocity points if paying for fuel using fuel vouchers according to the T&Cs.

      • Where does it say that? I didn't see anything to do with fuel locks.

      • +2

are you sure? i see it mentioned in relation to payment methods, "vouchers", but that's not how i interpreted it, nor would it be in their interest to exclude fuel locks

        • +3

Yeah I interpreted that as other vouchers like gift cards.

          • @mangobango: Read it the same that you won't earn points if you buy gift cards

      • +2

Only wording that comes close that I could find was

" BUT excluding any payments made using 7-Eleven Fuel Pass, any fleet card, Motorpass, vouchers, free offers and any other excluded payment methods specified in these Terms and Conditions as updated from time to time. "

        Can't see fuel locks mentiond

    • +7

Oops need to eat my own words. Just contacted 7/11 and confirmed that fuel vouchers aren’t fuel locks and we can fully earn points on fuel locks.
      Hey, I’m not complaining!

      • I didn't neg you by the way, but good to know! To the chopper!

      • thanks for clarifying & eating words

Updated latest app on Android but can't find the Link options in settings.

  • I was able to link it, the first time it came up with an error but worked the second time. Its under settings in the new app, I updated it about 6 hours ago. Android.

Off topic (bit related).. I have asked this question on 7/11 mega thread but unable to resolve it.

I am using iphone and iFakeLocation, and getting E03 error while locking the price. I followed the advice to wait for a min or so before hitting that button, but no joy.. Any tips?

    • Try Relocate Reborn then?

      • The issue is not with iFakeLocation….. 7/11 app shows the location I have set. Its only when I try to lock, it gives the error, seems they have blacklisted my iphone based on udid or serial number

I tried with different accounts too. The same accounts are working fine on my other android phone

    • I used iFakeLocation though have downloaded 3uTools and have had no issues.

      • i downloaded that in my iPhone but it's saying Microsoft windows application ?

        • I forgot to mention, it is a windows application. You have to plug your phone in and change the location. For further clarification, I use an apple iphone and fake my location through my windows desktop. hope that helps

      • So you use iFakeLocation app via 3uTools on Windows and lock the price on computer (i.e. by opening the 7-11 app on laptop). Is that you mean?

Is is complicated to download and use 3uTools?

        • +1

          Painful but better than nothin

        • You connect your iphone to the laptop while running iFakeLocation and lock the price

        • +2

no need for iFakeLocation. scrap that completely.

download 3uTools on windows, plug your phone in and once plugged in and synced with the app '3uTools'.

Look for 'Toolbox' in the heading and click on that and you'll see an option called 'VirtualLocation'. Click that and set your location and voila :)

  • what is eligible purchase?

  • Good way to keep the velocity points current.

Anyone know how to change the password for my 7Eleven?

    • just create a new account if reset password doesnt work
the current 7 Eleven no longer store credits so no harm to use new account

  • Can one Velocity account be linked to multiple 7-Eleven accounts?

    • Nah, it's in the FAQ, can only be linked to one account:

Can I link my Velocity Frequent Flyer account to multiple My 7-Eleven accounts?

You can only earn Velocity Points on a single linked My 7-Eleven account. Once your Velocity Frequent Flyer account and My 7-Eleven account are linked you cannot link that Velocity Frequent Flyer account to a secondary My 7-Eleven account.

    one coffee = 711 points?

    • +16

stop being so dramatic. It's one week plus you're allowed to go to 7-Eleven during that week anyway. 7-Eleven sells food + petrol, both of which are essential.

        • +7

Don’t give up your day job. Your jokes are not that funny

    • +1

  • Like how 2000 Flybuys convert to $10 at Coles, do Velocity points convert to cash for purchase in any store?

    • Via giftcards.

      • Sorry, can you elaborate please? Which gift cards and how do you buy them? Cheers.

  • Can you link multiple 7/11 accounts to one Velocity account?

  • +1

"In select stores only, you may also swipe your Velocity membership card or scan your My Velocity Digital Card at the check out to earn Velocity Points."

"In Western Australia stores only, you may also scan your My Velocity Digital Card (available in the Velocity or Virgin Australia app) or swipe your physical Velocity membership card before completing the transaction."

      Clear as mud :)

    • Only applicable in WA according to OP?

    • Do you still get the 711 bonus points if you swipe?

  • +1

so just buy a slurpee or coffee for $1 and get 711 points? is there a minimum balance you need to reach before they are transferred to your VF account?

    • +1

Velocity members should allow up to 24 hours for Velocity Points to appear in their Velocity Membership Account following an Eligible Purchase.

Based on the T&C they start the transfer after the purchase and you get them pretty quickly!

  • -1

Can you link this to any credit card or do you have to get a velocity one?

    • Nothing to do with any credit card. Feel free to pay with cash.

      • Can't figure out how to actually link it then.

        • In the 7/11 app in settings. You need your velocity login details for this.

        • Make sure your app is updated.

          • @PeppaPigDidNthngWrng: Thanks, yeah worked this out. Mine had the banner ad about velocity but no option in settings to link your account, hence the confusion. Updating fixed it.

  • Very nice. My velocity hadnt really been used since they broke up with BP. 7/11 makes it even better given i always use the chopper

    • I was using mine for bp back then, I logged in today..
“06 Nov 19 - Expired Points due to account inactivity
      2 years ago
      -2,506 Points“

      • I had enough to get a gift card so thats fortunately not a problem for me.

  • There is also a Qantas Frequent Flyer and 1000 bonus points deal with BP, as they have broken up. Is it worth getting the 1000 points? Never used Velocity BP.

  • I tell the attendent that I have a Velocity card after I pay for a $1 Slurpee drink. She replies that she has already processed the order so next time I'll need to show the card before I pay
Edit: I went to nearby store and got another one 😁

    • Do you still get the 711 bonus points when you swiped (and didn't use the app)?

      • I used the 7-Eleven app.

  • +3

Confirmed you earn velocity points even with fuel lock. Added my velocity to 7/11 app yesterday and locked in a price. Went and filled up got 51 points for the fuel and bonus 711 points in my velocity account today :)

  • I wonder if you can get 711 points for redeeming the free coffee offer some of us have.

    • +1

The T&C’s say “First Eligible Purchase” so I believe you have to pay for something to get the bonus points.

    • Yeah, I tried this, didn't work :(

  • Thanks OP, made a purchase and the bonus Velocity points were in my account within 12 hours :)

  • Thanks! Points were added super fast, in like 6 hours!

  • Did anyone get the 711 bonus points by swiping their card (and didn't use the app)?

    • you need to link it in app and scan the bar code on the app
