  • why is the zigbee version double the price of the tuya (wifi) one?
What is the procedure to connect it to Hue bridge?

  • The Zigbee module inside is more expensive than the Wifi module.

Same as any other Hue compatible lights, once the Hue Bridge is linked with the Hue phone app, turn the downlight on and it should show up on the add new light list.

    This video will help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XyJGGSudqYE

    • So it will be exactly the same just like a normal hue bulb?

      • Yes it will be the same as Hue RGBW light bulb

      • Can confirm this. I bought these last week and the Hue app recognised them straightaway! Very easy to set up if you have the Hue Hub

  • This is pricy.

    • When you compare it the colour version of the Hue Gu10 Lamp it's not too bad. But not sure about the quality of these.

      • If buying for 1 or 2, the price is just acceptable. For most of household, people will need more (10 in my case). This will kill the affordability in my opinion.

      • We offer 2 years replacement warranty on this downlight, the average life span is 5-7 years.

  • Any deal on the 12W op?

  • Hey OP, do you have any with a super dim mode?
In white mode, even at the dimmest and warmest temp, these are quite bright.
RGB and red mode they are dim enough.

  • Sigh…dilemma, buying this and install this myself (each LED has a power socket plug) VS buying a wall mount light switch and pay extra for the electrician call out fee…

    • it depends on how many downlights there are in each room, if most of the rooms has more than 4 downlights then installing smart switches is a cheaper option.

  • I retired my LIFX lights and installed these.

The response is excellent (as expected), never had any connectivity issues. My time with LIFX was like hell. Never seen two days in a row without any connectivity issues. (No, there are no wifi issues - I have a very good router exactly in the same room as LIFX lights were).

The only issue is the annoying flicker when changing the colors/color temperature. But I guess you cannot enjoy both the worlds :\

  • mi home app just updated, wont pick up my wifi xiaomi plug anymore………..rip my heater setup…..

chinese app just doesnt work as well….

  • OP, is this code specific to the product or can I use it for a discount on others? I need to buy a number of down lights.
