Hi all,

Noticed there was a 'deal' on the HM Aeron but got taken down yesterday. Looks like the deal is back up?

If you are familiar with the Embody's pricing, you'll know this is a crazy discount (quick glance, sees pricing at $2K min for the Embody).

I just visited my local Living Edge and put a deposit on the Embody, ETA end of June/early July.

I was informed that the sale will end on June 30.

UPDATE 16/06/2021

I received the below update from Living Edge. Not ideal, but I'll probably just keep my order in. Keep this in mind if you are considering ordering.

We have recently been advised of another COVID-19 outbreak in the Guangdong district. This has shut down the shipping line without notice and our containers never left.

All our Embody stock that was due to arrive in mid-July has now been pushed back to mid-September.

          You must have ordered earlier in the month. There is a four-month wait on the Embody according to Liam from Bad Backs.

            I'm trying to stay optimistic that my chair arrives later this month/early next 😅🙏🏻

              I didn't ask when the wait-listing started. I plan to drive down there for another trial so that I don't change my mind after waiting four months.

              BTW, when did you place your order for the Embody? Is it the $1630 model listed without any modifications?
              Maybe you are at the very top of the queue.

                @DoctorCalculon: I live over 2 hours away from the store and never sat in embody but I've heard enough great things to order with hopes I enjoy it as much as others 😅

                As for when I ordered, 2nd of June 2021 roughly 3:40pm AEST. Well before the BadBacks deal was posted , so I believe I would have been one of the first BadBack embody orders 🙏🏻

                    I noticed whenever living edge and BadBacks usually have the same price. After seeing this living edge sale I quickly checked BadBacks and saw the same price :)

            I believe all Embody are made in the USA. Was manufactured 29th of April 2021

            Any Embodys made Feb 2021 onwards are a newer design with additional padding on the seat. So glad it is the new model with additional padding 😍

                @Schema: The only difference from my knowledge on the new design is an extra layer of padding in the seat. 1cm thick. This helps with comfort and longevity of the fabric :)

    Thanks OP for the post! Just went into the Sydney showroom and bought a Aeron. Tried both Embody and Aeron and liked the feel of the Aeron more.

    Having it delivered this week.

    The lady said the Embody is available in mid August.

    Everyone seems to be getting this before EOFY. There were five other couples lining up to give them their money lol

    Living Edge has the HM Aeron in stock and ready to ship. Bad backs looks like they are on back order.

    Received my Embody today which was purchased from local Perth store on the day after the deal was posted.
    Communication from the rep was great, got an email a few days ago advising stock had arrived and confirmed delivery date and time.
    Delivery driver also called 30mins prior to arriving, unboxed the chair and took the rubbish.
    Was a bit worried after hearing the lack of customer service however did not experiance that at all.

        Finding it really good 🤠 , ive watched countless reviews and informational videos about the chair so it is what I expect. And that is a top notch chair

        I ordered June 2nd . Placed my order at BadBacks as soon as I saw the Living Edge deal was listed here on OZB, several hours before the BadBacks deal was listed on OZB

        For those that don't know Herman Miller recently updated the Embody with additional padding on the seat similar to the Logitech Model. These came into effect for all Embodys made February 2021 onwards. I was pleased to see the chair I received was manufactured 29/04/2021 and has the additional padding indicating it is the new model

        Im pleased with the chair and look forward to it lasting me many , many years to come

          What are your thoughts on the Logitech G Embody gaming chair versus the one we can buy from LE / BB?

            @DoctorCalculon: Thankyou :) I definitely watched a one of videos before ordering and even more after ordering 😅

            I was quite interested in the Logitech model too. That being said there are pros and cons of each. Currently it's not possible to get the Logitech in Australia… And if it were possible I don't think it would be on a sale such as this as it's a newer model :)

            There are a few comparison videos on YouTube and some good reddit threads that can be found via Google search if you were after more information 🙌🏻

            And for those wondering, I'm enjoying my Embody everyday

    I bought the aeron from sit back and relax same price. They said turn around was 2-3 weeks. Still waiting for mine so I'm guessing its about 8 weeks until I get it.

      same , told me 3-4 weeks for my aeron, still haven't got it. Covid affected the ports so few weeks delay, container lands on the 23rd, 2 days or so to unload, then they can deliver

    I followed up on my Embody order from June 2 with Living Edge and apparently orders placed online were processed late, so delivery for those are delayed until September.

    They're also apparently in the process of calling all people affected and offering cancellations.

    Just an update from me - Embody arrived around 2 weeks ago in Perth.

    I hadn't heard anything from the rep I ordered through (since the supposed delay they mentioned). Just out of curiousity I called them up and they said it's at the warehouse ready for collection.
