    • Better use a Firecuda or Sabrent Rocket. Far longer life and much faster too.

  • they did same deal about a yr ago and i never got the cashback for it

    • Did you contact them after it didn't come through?

  • +2

Received 870 QVO, but samsung website reporting invalid serial number when submitting cashback claim.

    Any idea?

    • Same for me.

    • Same here.. Mine was bought through Computer Alliance..

    • +1

not the series number on the box, but the series no on the actual SSD, the one on the box missing last digit.

    • +1

Use the serial number on the drive, not the one on the box.

      • I tried using the one on the box first and it said to use the 15 characters one. Assumed the drive had something else so checked and yes it had a character at the end. Tried that and still says "INVALID SERIAL NUMBER / IMEI"

        • Same for me - INVALID SERIAL NUMBER / IMEI for serial on the drive.

          • @pollopollo: On the previous deals some people had the same issue and they had to contact samsung support and get the serial number added to the database. Contact Samsung and then see what they say.

      • FWIW…I am using the 15-digit serial number on the back of the drive and it still comes up with "invalid serial number" so there seems to be some issue here.

    • Same issue here. Used the 15 character serial on the drive, not the box.

      Contacting Samsung Support.

I received the drive this morning and went to the website to enter the details for the redemption and received the same SN error so chatted to support and the said to email the redemptions people with the details. [email protected]

  • Thanks OP, noob question. Do you get a tax invoice if you buy from this seller on eBay?

    • You should, if not, as the seller for one. Futu online always sends one out to your email.

      • Thanks mate :)

  • I was told to email Samsung by their support chat and they replied with this 5min ago:

    "
    Good morning,

    Thank you for your email.

This promotion is only open to residents of the UK and ROI, and unfortunately Computer Alliance is not a qualifying retailer for this promotion.

If your retailer is running a similar promotion, you may reach out to them with any further queries.

Regrettably, it appears you do not qualify to participate in this promotion.

    We apologise for any inconvenience.

Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
    "

I did email them back with the link on this page and included the email that @ausbob71 mentioned and also cc'ed Computer Alliance. What a mission. Almost doesn't make it worth the cashback :)

    • I haven't had a reply yet.

    • That's BS on their part. Perhaps the person supporting just doesn't give a FF & can't be bothered to investigate this.

  • Ok I just had a reply from the promotions support.

    Good Afternoon ,

Thank you for your query regarding the promotion.

We are sorry to hear of the difficulty with submitting your claim!

Please ensure the number you are entering is the full 15-character sequence located:

    A) on a sticker on the front/back of the SSD device itself: OR

    B) on the Samsung Magician Software Dashboard available at: https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/product/c…

*Please note the number on the box/packaging is only 14-Digits.

If you have entered the 15-Digit Serial Number and it is still not working, please reply to this email with a screenshot of the error message + a photo of your device’s serial number.

  • I tried to enter the SN again but still didn't work so took a screenshot and also a photo of the back of the drive and emailed it to them. This shouldn't be so hard.

  • Another Samsung scam. Probably waiting until the redemption period expires to reply to emails.

Anyone hear back from these shysters?

    • +1

No. It’s been a week I sent them email. No reply.

      • +1

        Same here.

  • +1

Haven't heard anything after my last email over a week ago.

  • For those who are getting the "invalid seral number" even when entering the 15 digit S/N, here is a reply from Samsung:

We are currently investigating this issue and will resolve this for you as soon as possible.
Please rest assured, any eligible purchases will still be able to redeem the Promotion and the claim still be honoured.

    • I have received the same email still feel like this whole process is way harder than it should be.

  • +1

I just received an email that the serial number issue has been resolved, so try redeeming the cashback now :)

EDIT: yep it works, just submitted my claim

  • Yes have just submitted mine as well about bloody time🙂

  • Mine's still invalid. Very cool.

  • Same, mine is still invalid and no response from Samsung yet.

  • Any workarounds for the 'invalid' issue? Tried a few times and still unsuccessful. Waited for Samsung chat for some time but ended up giving up (kids needed attention)
