XFX Radeon RX 6700 XT Speedster SWFT 309 Graphics Card $1049 + Shipping @ PLE

460

Received promotion email from PLE today, they have the XFX Radeon RX 6700 XT SWFT Graphic Card for $1049, plus 1.3% cashback from cashreward.
I preordered the similar QICK card from PLE this year for $899, very happy with it to matching my 34inch Xiaomi. 6700xt seems still reasonably priced for gaming, although price been slowly up for a while.

FideltyFX makes it a lot easier not to support Nvidia

    • +1

      TAA makes FidelityFX redundant.

      • FidelityFX is just TAA+Sharpening!
FSR is not in FidelityFX yet. Only developers have early access versions of it.

    • It's ok but it's no DLSS. Will get better with time though

      • FidelityFX does not currently do FSR. Is not out yet.

    • +3

yeh from what we've been told so far, FidelityFX is very disappointing compared to DLSS2.0
these days though, if you need a video card you take what you can get. If you hesitate like i did, you end up paying more for a 3080Ti than you could have gotten a 3090 for in Feb after telling yourself back then $3200 is too much for a gaming card :/

Really want a new GPU, but can't bring myself to buy a AMD card.

    I want the RTX DLSS

      and ray tracing, and mining,

    • I'm in the exact same boat

    • And so does everyone else, hence the price hike.

Pats his GTX 1070, ….till the wheels fall off my friend

    • -4

      Pats 980Ti.
Turns to look at RTX3070 in PC.

    • laughs in rx 280

    • You and me both, buddy.

I see your GTX 1070 an raise you GTX 960 4gb….:-)

    • I see your GTX 960 4gb and raise you Quadro K4200 4gb

  • FSR June 22

  • FSR beat DLSS!!

    • +1

DLSS maybe.. But definitely not DLSS 2.0

      • FSR hopefully will get better, just like how DLSS1.0 was pretty bad, but 2.0 and 2.1 are pretty good. That didn't happen overnight, took NVIDIA some time to improve it.

        • agree 100%

    • Doesn't look as good as dlss 2.0

      • I've noticed some quality loss in texture resolution mainly (based off provided images). Maybe it can be improved in future versions.

I sold my RTX 3060 Ti and bought RX 6700 XT (not this model though) and saved some money.

If not playing games with RT or DLSS, definitely better in most games, and much cheaper.

Also, you can actually get one, unlike most 3060 Ti (sold out with most retailers), and eBay, Gumtree, marketplace the only places you can actually get one (or pre-built machines, like an Aurora R10)

I was considering upgrading from my 1080ti but this seems like a downgrade?

    • Yeah lateral move at best IMO

Check this out, for more real-world comparison.

You can still sell GTX 1080 Ti for a decent amount of money ($900~$1,000), and you can upgrade to a brand new card with at least 3 years of warranty, faster in most cases, and supports RT even though not as good as RTX cards.

I would do it, if I were you.

      • I dont know if its just me but it seems the fps is higher on the 6700 but the quality looks better on the 1080 in those videos.

        Your points are good though.

        • Not sure how they're recording the footage but the inbuilt nvidia recorder tends to do better quality than AMD's, that could explain the picture quality difference.

If you are considering selling your 1080ti on ebay remember that seller fees on expensive items can be huge, keep an eye out for that, still could very much be worth doing though considering the performance increase.

When will people stop using userbenchmark….ffs

      • Prob will take Google moving it down from the top of the search results

    • +7

Do not trust a single thing on user benchmark. Awful site. Check out Hardware Unboxed or Gamers Nexus for an actual review of the cards.

      • +3

I can agree that Hardware Unboxed and Gamers Nexus are both fantastic resources for well thought out, thorough testing results.

userbenchmark is a terrible website. I'd look at Hardware Unboxed on youtube, they're awesome (and aussie too)

  • not a terrible price, all things considered. its a shame theyre not selling the qick 319 ultra anymore - that's a great card and i picked that up for ~$900 from them a month ago.

These are great. 12gb more that 8gb in 3070. Drivers good I've had no problems. They updated driver for dirt 2 ray tracing and looks unreal. I have the Merc version.

    • If you are looking for plain field game with no RT and DLSS I totally agree with you.

However if you interested in RT and DLSS , 4GB extra RAM aint help and 3070 is way better

  • Good deal considering the market. But still insane considering the original msrp. Going to stick it out for 2 years.

That said i hear these XFX cards are amazingly quiet.

  • Ditch my rtx 3060 and get this?
    I like lights n that though…

    • There is merc 319 version with rgb, or red devil 6700xt from pccg.

    • This is a much better card than RTX 3060. Sell it and get this.

  • Just played Control and realize my RX570 is no good supporting games with 1440p + decent FPS anymore (even with low settings - ultrawide screen)
    Worth upgrading?
    Working with a Ryzen 5 2600

  • Has anyone here bought this card? Are you happy with it? Should I wait a week or two to see if graphics card prices start going down?

    • In a week or two, gpu prices will GO UP.

it goes up every month man. Prices won't be going down until 2022 minimum.
