Meh most jacked store on eBay, discount doesn't mean much. I refuse to buy from sydneytec.

This is the cheapest price on the RT-AX88U since 2019.

Barely the cheapest price. There are multiple stores with that router at $399/409 standard price.

        • +1 vote

          That is still $24-34 cheaper.

Their list price is $679; RRP for the router is $599 and has always been at 599. I don't support retailers who charge above RRP and then use large false discounts to bring it slightly below what other retailers are charging. It is 399 @ jw computers and has been for a while. Office work price beat will take it to 380 as it is… and I bet your balls if anything goes wrong you have an easier time refunding at officeworks than at Sydneytec…

The Deco Mesh kits are great. Got these (M5/S4) in 3 different 2 story houses in the family now to replace single AC2200 routers and the improved coverage is massive.
However if you're going to connect these without ethernet backhaul I would recommend getting the dual band M9 kit, as it uses one of the 5GHz bands as dedicated backhaul.

I second this for the deco m5 kit.

A mate of mine has the m9 and he loves it.

Waaaay better than wifi extenders or trying to find a more powerful router etc.

Wait for prime next weekend. Worse ebay promotion ever, this seller is a perfect example of jacking up prices. Don't even bother. The afterpay promotion was way better.

The afterpay promotion was way better.

If only we could roll back time, then Uncle Jack would have nothing on us.

Based on https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/631165 Prime Day will only offer up to 30% off RRP on select ASUS networking devices.

Current Amazon RRP is $569 minus 30% is $398.30

So this eBay deal sounds like it'll be cheaper, despite the price jacking.
