And it would be better if the offer was indiscriminate rather than targeting a select few..

Hardly an appropriate reason for a neg. Just because you aren't targeted and don't agree with the min spend isn't a reason for the use of a negative vote.

If you can't handle negativity then good luck in the real world because the real world is absolutely negative lol..

You've been here since 2013, over 500 comments and still don't understand how a neg works?

      • -2

I would think it's the other way around. How long does it take for businesses to figure out that negativity is harmless… it's designed to make you a success not a failure…

        • -1

          It's positivity that's fake and corrupt… Fake positivity destroys a business…

          • @[Deactivated]: What planet are you on? We're not talking about negativity here, we're talking about Ozbargain's rules on using a negative vote.

            • -1

@thestig: Ozbargain never used to restrict negative deal voting. Shame big business took over and flooded the site with fake accounts to influence and pressure consumers into always being positive for deals posted. Ozbargain definitely not the consumers friend anymore. Where's Alan Fels when you need him? ;)

@[Deactivated]: The guidelines for negative voting have always required a decent reason be provided for a neg for as long as I can remember. The guidelines are below and definitely don't restrict negative votes for valid reasons if you explain them:

                https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:voting_guidelines

There is also no restrictions on making negative comments in regards to a deal.

Btw, it's polite to remove your tin foil hat when you're indoors.

                • @thestig: You can't remember very far then lol!

              • @[Deactivated]: Banning of foreign sites from posting deals on ozbargain also reeks of interference from local businesses looking to control the market and force consumers to buy from them instead of directly importing the items themselves from overseas suppliers.

                • @[Deactivated]: Sorry mate, just realised you're a few cards short of a deck. Have a great day!
