20 delivery, shame on you SS

Ps its out of stock, fail

  • Actually just saw white version is in stock http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/product.php?id=399630. But $20 delivery is way too much.

    • Why dont you post it?

      • Because its already posted here just informing that there is white still in stock just in case somebody still wants it. Im not original poster.

    Showing Out of Stock…

A-Data is a solid storage brand name.

Seems an OK deal if USB 3 is your thing, I don't have any USB 3 ports so I'd be better served with a 1.5 TB Seagate from DSE for the same price.

Delivery price is not an issue for me, total price is all that matters.

Cheapest 1tb USB 3.0 portable drive at Centrecom (for example) is $279 and you're complaining about $20 postage (total price $119.95)???

good point, overall price is what matters, but this is the much hated Shopping Square, where every online order comes with a free sideorder of Rip-off-to-the-Max exorbitant postage charges!

I bought an ADATA 500gb 2.5" USB 2.0 from Japan years ago. It's still going strong and consistently pulls 35mb/s read/write speeds. Much better than any other brand I've had.

  • now this is a nice price!

  • Ok, a few positive comments are helpful, but how's about the guys who like it support the OP with some positive votes for the deal?

    • Why have got any deal with the OP?

If that's not meant to be a rhetorical question, and you're expecting an answer; then how's about fixing it up so I've got some idea of exactly WTF you're asking???

I'm not putting my precious "data" on an ADATA - only the big boys are reliable (WD, Seagate, Hitachi, Toshiba).

    • I guess you should also cross off OCZ from your shopping list since Adata produces memory for them.

Why on earth is this one considered a "Good Deal" at $119.90 delivered, compared to the 2TB Samsung which is 2TB for $129 ???

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/63136

And this one is Shopping Square who are a pretty well-hated supplier. Doesn't make sense - gee Ozbargainers are strange voters.

Read the two deals again, this time closely llama, then get back to us! Hint: You're looking for imperial measurements!!! ;)

        Ooops - DOH :-D

Thanks for pointing it out, so I could "correct it".

My comment above is silly because the products are different. The Samsung is 3.5" with external power supply, whilst this one is 2.5" without external power.

Yep - it was an error. At least somebody finally pointed out the error, rather than just hammering my post with negs :-)

  • Here is a review:

    http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AData/Classic_Series_CH11…

So for the price not bad.

  • I've had mates use A-DATA RAM (DDR2 800MHz) and overclock it to 1066MHz. It was stable.
So my opinion of A-DATA products have been pretty good.

  • what drive is inside?

yeah this shipping price is a rip off…
just makes them a joke on this site..

    • A-DATA :)

  • Had an A-Data SD card in my old digi camera, worked well.

    $120 pretty good, although i bought a Seagate usb2.0 for $75, 6 months ago (yes 1tb 2.5"). Didn't think usb3.0 was so much more.
