    I bought the 65t's for $300 in April 2018.
They are probably the best purchase I've ever made in terms of the use I've got out of them for the money.

The clasp on the case snapped off last year (just due to so much use) and I used an elastic band to hold the case shut, but a few weeks ago I bought 5 more sets from JB when they were $80, one for myself and one each for the whole family, that's how much I like them.

As they are 3 generations old now, they don't have ANC, but for $80, you get everything $300+ newer headphones do apart from that. The only other negatives is that they aren't held in by magnets, and it's micro USB, not USB C.

If you need headphones (or even if you don't), buy these.

    • +3

I absolutely don’t need yet another pair of earbuds but you’re making me consider it 😅

    • What do you generally use yours for? Do you voice majority of the time?

I'm looking to get these just to listen to music, how is the sound quality?

      • +1

No, I don't use these for calls, the microphones are very sensitive and I'm using in a loud environment which makes taking calls not ideal with these.

I just use these for all of my music and entertainment (youtube).
The sound quality is very good in my opinion, obviously the bass isn't amazing, but you can't really expect that from something this size, and the volume can get surprisingly loud.
The music controls are also very intuitive, I love the tactile buttons and you'll never accidentally press something.

I've used my old pair for probably 7 hours a day for 3 years and they still work as well as they did on day 1, with just a bit less battery capacity.

The other thing I should mention is you have to always use the right one, as that's the "master". The left one is optional.

For $70 though, you should definitely try these out.

        • +4

So they're not entirely like "$300 ones, apart from ANC".

They're more "like the $300 if you don't need them for calls, ANC or quality hinge the the case".

      • Purchased mine for the daily commute by public transport, I love the compact nature of it (both earphones and charging case). The sound is reasonable, not amazing not terrible but certainly better than I expected.

I haven't had the chance to test for phone calls or the other features (sadly the accompanying Jabra App is considered useless) so can't comment on that.

All in all, I'm amazed by these as a purchase and would 100% recommend!

    • How well do they connect to the phone?

I have these soundpeats truengine and the quality is good but the only problem is it can be problematic sometimes connecting to the phone and it keeps falling out my ear

  • If this keeps going, 65Ts will be free soon… And what a bargain for 75Ts

  • Aw, no Evolve2 85s

  • I've used 65ts for years and love them, but I'm considering an upgrade. I've been eyeing off the 85s, is there a significant difference between the 75s and 85s?

    • I've both. the 75 sound quite similar tbh. But they are less bulky and bulbous. I found the 65s to be too extreme in their body's size and they also look a little silly in that regard. USB C is great and the case is smaller and matte finish. The battery is similar but i haven't bench tested. the ANC is a great bonus but not as effective as say the sony xm3. both have average microphone quality.

one thing people fail to mention is that the Jabra's have mutli point connect. call on teams? i can choose phone or laptop to answer, switch between etc but windows handles BT audio terribly/

      • Is there any reasonable price ones with good anc ?

        • I read good things about the 1more TWS ANC. I think they're on sale too at ~$130. But you'd need to read more. The WF XM3 seem to be continuing to drop in price but i love and hate them

        • Huawei Freebuds for ANC

  • +1

65ts have good sound but terrible microphone and near unusable outside

    Otherwise unbeatable for price

  • Do these stay in your ears well? I'm yet to find an earbud that stays in securely while walking, let alone jogging or working out.

    • +2

My personal experience was no, they did not stay in my ear during running. I am an avid runner (30kms/week) and for me the only thing that works are headphones with earloops.

These would often fall out of my ears while simply eating lunch.

      • Appreciate the feedback. I'm starting to be convinced the over-ear loop variety is the only thing suitable. I'm really tall, maybe my head & ears are bigger / fatter than the tolerances they make these for?!

        • all these designs are meant to sit into the bulbous cup in your ears. you twist the earphone into the cup. maybe theyre not to fit all ears. I run and can hang upside down (on loops), no dramas. i found the 65s less comfy because the size and roundness was more exaggerrated

      • I want something where the microphone really genuinely works well, vs a plain old cabled headset. My cabled one that came with my note 5 has been fantastic.

      • I went running with them today with no issues that might be an issue with your ears i guess so as usual YMMV.

    • +1

my 65t seem to stay secure while i jog.

  • Had my 65t since Sep '18 and love them. Any good reason to upgrade if they're still going strong? I only use them for music and the occasional meeting at home.

  • What is the difference between Jabra Elite 75t and Jabra Elite Active 75t?

    • That's what I was wondering myself. Good question.

I wonder what the Active component in their sales pitch arises cos they've clearly failed to distinguish it on their website.

    • +1

IP55 vs IP57, so you can wear them in the shower. That's it.

      • +2

Thanks, so not worth the extra $ for me

    Jabra 75T Vs Samsung Buds + ?

    • +1

I had the 75T briefly the sound for music is a lot better (I’m no audiophile and it was noticeable), unfortunately I had constant disconnection on my left ear bud so I returned the Jabras and went with galaxy buds+, I’ve found battery to be pretty good on the buds+ and they just work without any hassles or problems. At this price I’d try the 75t first if they work no problems then I’d put them a bit higher than buds (due to audio quality), for calls I can’t comment but probably better with the buds.

(Please keep in mind this was a fair while ago and they’ve possibly fixed issues I had with the Jabras)

  • 75t or momentum wireless 2?

Anyone have both and can comment?

    • momentum wireless 2 is more $$

      • Yes but what if it's significantly better, I'm guessing that's his question.

        • Watched a few comparison videos, 75t seem better for almost half the price.

I already have the AirPods Pro but just want to see what else is out there

          • @zzzman: I have airpod pro but I need to sell them (unopened) - hate the fact they use a lightning cable to charge. I don't use an iPhone.

            • @hamwhisperer: I’m an apple user so I’m used to the lightning cables.

They can also be charged using a Qi wireless charger?

This link was posted in the sennheiser deal.

      https://www.rtings.com/headphones/tools/compare/sennheiser-m…

So the 75t is better in almost every single category. And half the price! I’m happy with my purchase.

  • Good deal, this is the lowest I've seen so far for the elite active 75t model

  • Latitude pay are so completely inept, that I've been trying to buy these at JB hi-fi for a week but my new latitude pay account is broken!
Does anyone know if I can use cash rewards AND my TCC (tcn?) Cards to bring this price down real low? I have 5x50 dollar ones that I paid 225 for.

Some pros and cons that I don't see mentioned much about the Jabra line (I own 65t active for 2.5 years)

    Pros:
    * multi-device connection - can connect to and seamlessly switch between multiple devices e.g. laptop and phone. I've heard from other reviews that other brands struggle to do this with their earbuds

    Cons:
    * master/slave pairing system - if you want to use just one earbud, it has to be the right ear. You can't use the left earbud on its own at all, in fact you have to be wearing the right earbud in order to use the left earbud as the left one won't play audio if its physically too far from the right earbud. I don't ever see this mentioned and I think it can be a big deal for some people.
    * can get uncomfortable when wearing for long periods of time
    * no magnets to keep the buds in the case, also case is bulky as

Overall tho I'd recommend these as they're great value and has served well (note that I got them for $200 and is reviewing them at this price, $80 is an amazing deal)

    • +1

As a 3 year user, this is a pretty accurate summary.

I'd still rate them a 9/10 though given how durable they've been, I just have the normal 65ts and I've dropped both them and the case countless times, and after using for probably 7000+ hours, they're almost as good as new.

    • +2

FWIW I think the 75s have a magnetic case if that helps

  • For those who have access to discounted gift cards, one can save an extra 5% on top of the discount code and cash back. Eg. NIB rewards. Remember that the good guys website will only accept 2 gift cards.

    • Under special terms - "Cashback is ineligible on Playstation 5, Playstation 5 Digital Edition, Xbox Series X 1TB, gift cards, iTunes cards, concierge, delivery, GST."

      • I interpret that to mean you cannot get cash back on the purchase of gift cards.

One can still use discounted gift cards for payment and get cash back.

        • +1

Under cashback tips on the same page, it says:

You may not be eligible for Cashback:
If a gift card is purchased or used as payment.
If a coupon code is used that is not listed on Cashrewards.
If your order is not fully completed online or is later changed.

  • I'm think of getting these earbuds for awhile now and hearing mix reviews. Does this earbuds cancel out noise however able to hear speech normally?

    • +1

No I don’t believe they do that, and the NC is not as strong as an over the ear. It’s a combination of the tips blocking the noise and the ear buds software. Still fine for most uses.

  • +1

    Thanks OP.

Got a pair of 75t with the 8% cash back.

Have always used AirPods and AirPods Pro so keen to see how these sound and connect.

My AirPods Pro would not stay connected to my iPhone overnight and apple just replaced both because of rattle and ANC issues.

    • +1

Also fed up with AirPods Pro and looking for a quality substitue. Let us know how you go with 75t.

  • Got 75t on Saturday but still havent opened the package. Can it be returned?

  • What's the microphone quality like for the 75t?

    • From what I have heard, it's really good

  • My Airpods 2 have stopped working and now Im looking for a replacement. I mainly listen to bass-heavy music like EDM, and listen to podcasts. WIll the 65T suffice or would the 75T be a worthwhile upgrade given the prices atm?

  • +1

sorry, am i missing something - how do you get the 75Ts for $126 like in the title?

    • I was wondering the same thing but I think the title is incorrect since it's listed in the description as $168.30

      • yeah and if that is the case, you can get them for $149 in other stores

    • +1

Just click through the main link in the OP and apply the coupon "DUSK1015" and it will be $126.65.

Note, the link in the description for $168 is the Active version. The main link is the 75T non-active, which is $126.65.

      • Isn't it only 6 am tomorrow? It's not working for me

        • Still working fine here. What issue are you running into for it to not work?

          • @doweyy: happy to stand corrected - thanks for clarifying the link. 75t elites purchased!

          • @doweyy: Realised I had it wrong - fixed that but my TCN Home gift card seems worthless. Yay - doesn't work.

            • @hamwhisperer: Have you swapped your TCN Home card as of yet to a TGG one? If not, you’ll have to go here and swap it over to a TGG one to be able to use it.

              • @doweyy: Thank you so much for the help but the site is worthless - refusing to accept gift cards.

"Sorry, we are unable to process your gift card at the moment. Please try again later or visit your nearest store to complete your transaction."

              • @doweyy: Even made an account on the site, definitely rejecting gift cards, lame.

  • I paid $250 for the regular 75t about a year ago and they’ve been well worth it. At this price, they’re a no brainer.

  • Well, anyone elses TCN Home card not working for TGG? I got them last week at Coles, they seem worthless. Am I supposed to have 'activated' these or something?

  • whats the diff between 75t and active 75t? They both have noise cancellation?

    • +1

      Actives are more water/sweat proof

  • -4

My fake airpods pro from ebay sound better then this and were cheaper. Still working reliably for over a year now

  • bought 65t for $67 and expecting with $20 off from latitudepay to drop below $50.
But LP seems does not give me the $20 off (out of topic)

Should I return this item ?
Or this item too good to return
    Please advise ozbargainers
    Thanks

    • +1

I sent query to LP support because in a previous thread some customers were able to get the discount.

      • same here, the $20 discount has not been applied to my LatitudePay Payment Schedule with the recent purchase of 75t. Sent an email to LatitudePay support.

      • +2

Yes, called them and $20 applied to plan

        • Were you previous LP customer? I was told I didn't get discount because I have previous LP purchase.

          • +1

            @Paul B: Yes
I previously bought something at JB as new customer to get $20 promo.
And now this at TGG as 2nd ones.
Try to email them and attach the image from TGG promo.

  • +1

To paraphrase Homer Simpson, why should I buy this instead of the Soundpeats deal, which I can also afford?

Also they have pretty similar scores on Rtings

    Keen to hear peoples thoughts.

    • Noise cancellation

      • The 75t noise cancellation was added later with firmware and isn't full full proper noise cancellation.

I'll know how good it is soon, I've ordered my pair but it's worth keeping that in mind.

    • Interesting comparison. There is also difference in battery life, app support, multi device pairing, latency to consider

  • OH GOSH DARN IT! I missed it! dang!

    • I dunno, I thought about it and just went for the Soundpeats instead. I don't need noise cancellation and even if you do, you should probably go for something that goes over/around your ears like the Bose QC35, not this in ear style.

      • I bought a pair before and loved them, but then i broke the case and needed to send them back. I liked the active water resistant ones because i'm a pretty sweaty dude. Justy being realistic :(

When you get your soundpeats, would you mind letting me know how you like them?

        • +1

Here's my thoughts after using the SoundPeats TF2 solidly for a couple of days. Great sound quality which rivals the AirPods (because of closed back design, etc). Picky Audio's review was right when he said these are great for EDM and other bass heavy music. Quality of sound on phone calls is something I was worried about - no such problem. If anything, I was told that I could speak softer with the headphones on (note this was indoors). I was able to find a fit that worked for me with the silicone tips and wings supplied.

Probalby only real thing against these headpones is that they do get uncomfortable after prolonged periods (hours) of use, to the point where I have to take them off to give my ears a break. But then I suppose that happens with any headphone (I've used AirPods and Bose QC35 before). The case is a bit chunky. But for $30 this is an excellent purchase.

  • Sure, I'll try to report back on this thread. Should be with me in a couple of days!

  • Excellent sound quality for the price.
The Elite 75T is still available for $149.

  • Mine arrived last night, here's my summary:

    Word of warning.

1, the active noice cancelling was added in a later firmware update and is kind of a 'half' active noice cancelling
2, the maximum volume, isn't that high on them
3, and most importantly. They do NOT have aptX audio codec - for low latency audio. I blindly assumed this kind of stuff is fixed nowadays in 2021. My dumb fault
What that means, is your youtube videos, peoples lips will not sync with the audio, due to a bluetooth delay.

So fair warning those 3 things are worth noting on any headset I think.

Now I'm curious if I should return the damn things to TGG because it's kind of annoying when I watch a LOT of youtube on my phone.

    • Not sure if it helps but I have some audio sync problems with Jabra Move. Usually it works better when I disconnect, connect again.

      • I googled, my phone is also notorious for BT lag which exacerbates the issue. However no aptX is crazy in mid 2021. I just assumed they were great because no one complained about them.

        • Saw this in 75t search result

There's no support for the aptX family of audio codecs and this is a conscious decision by Jabra. The designers of the earbuds feel that the aptX HD codec would drain too much power for an increased resolution that probably won't be noticeable on a pair of ANC earbuds that are being used in noisy environments.

          Also

The Elite 65t support Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX HD and AAC for your high-end Android and Apple devices.

          • @Paul B: I appreciate the reply. Wish I knew this before I got them. I HATE the lag, it's so so bad.

If I listen to music no problem, but I mostly watch video on my phone.

  • Got these yesterday. Connected to both iPhone and iPad and stays connected.

Sound is good but had to adjust the bass etc in the equaliser setting as the bass was too heavy

Overall great buy for the discounted price

    • Unless you watch video and have to deal with the terrible lack of aptx and the worst Bluetooth lag I've ever seen

      • I saw your comment above and I don’t have your lag issue at all? Watched a few YouTube videos on my iPhone and iPad and the audio and video sync are completely fine.

        • My phone has some bluetooth lag of its own, so it makes the issue worse on the 75T

I used since my posts FIVE BT headsets on my phone and I've found they rank for lag in the following order.

AirPod Pro > Skullcandy Crusher > Pasonomi Amazon cheapies > Huawei FreeBuds 1.0 > Jabra75T

The first 3 are not too bad, AirPod Pro is the best and it's still got some, small lag but it's acceptable.
The 75T is atrocious and doesn't ship with aptX. Either way, the fact that my 'dumb & bad' phone can work with the AirPods, tells me that the 75T isn't helping the problem.

I returned them to good guys yesterday.
