For people who want bigger qualities, I got better value with the 7kg pack of this one, especially with S&S…

The original deal here is still good value if wanted the 2kg pack.

Different product. That one is 84% potato and has a long ingredients list. This one is 100% potato.

      • Ah, yes. You are 100% correct and good point.
I didn't realise I left it out of the reply when I was rewording it the first time.
        Will edit it now….

EDIT - Ugh, I can't edit my first comment, so thanks very much for the reply.

I've used both products and find them very similar in the end, but it is important to consider the ingredients when purchasing.

      Nestle reckons:

        * Shelf Life in Days: 540
        * Shelf Life in Months: 18

      Some comments on Amazon:

      • There is no expiry date, but the best before date for the box I bought in June 2019 was for December 2019. But I'm still using the box in June 2020 and find nothing wrong with the product, despite being past it's best before date.

      • I bought my box in June 2019, for home use. The best before date was December 2019. I still have a quarter of the box full left, and it is still the same in taste and workability as it was when I first got it, one year later. I do add some butter and a bit of milk to mine, as well, since I like my mash a bit less solid. It goes a long way. Well worth the price. I also don't really follow the instructions, as I found it hard to figure out just how much to make for my small family. So I just pour in enough powder to make what I would normally use for my old Coles instant mash, and then add enough boiling water to get it to the right consistency, and then some butter and a bit of milk for taste and less solidity.

  • Thanks @auna I had my first taste of it yesterday. Surprisingly good! Nearly as good as made from scratch and much, much better than other instant mashed potato I've tried.
