They call and call and call and call, not much more to say, never got to try a meal.

    • Oh. Drat..I signed up.

      • Just say "Sorry not in a financial position to commit to this right not" they will ask if you are recieving centrelink payments, just say "No". They then go away lol.

I'd say just hanging up will make them continue to call lol.

    • give a fake number silly

i think this is the mob i got a free meal in the letterbox from a year or two ago.

      • They will not send it out if they can't get hold of you, I don't imagine :P

      • yep, i see from other comments they use a free meal as a carrot on a stick to telemarket to you.

when i got mine i think i gave a fake number or maybe i just never answered the phone :)

    • This. I got a dozen phonecalls from them and never ended up getting anything. Very annoying.

    • You guys gave your real number???

They say they give the 5000 randomly at their discretion or something as well, and if you don't get a reply right away, don't despair, they will be coming to your area soon. Sure. Australia wide never means the island down the bottom ;)
Not worth giving out your info for IMHO

    • random selection is a negative

  • I did get the meal during a previous promotion.

I can't remember if they spoke with me first, over the phone. But they probably did. I vaguely remember declining their offer to join up immediately.

They sent me a meal that said it could be stored on the shelf for a year (no refrigeration needed).

I did put it in the refrigerator anyways and kept it there for a long while. (Trying to convince the family that we try it)

After about 6 months, the package ballooned up, so I threw it out.

I did get heaps of calls from them.

When they next had a deal on here, I commented about the ballooning up within about 6 monoths. The rep asked, did I contact them? I replied I hadn't thought to.

So I did contact them to get a replacement. "Oh no, we don't have any available to send to you right now, but we'll put you down for the next time we have an offer" … :S

    Oh well

    • I see another ballooned junk at your door :P

I signed up for the last promotion, never got anything. They did call me, but I declined the offer to sign up - she couldn't seem to understand that I wanted the trial to see if it was suitable before I was willing to purchase nearly a month's worth of meals.

Never got any further calls though, so I suppose I kind of didn't lose.

The 5000 meals are handed out randomly at Easymeals discretion. This makes it a lottery not a bargain.

as above, the 5000 are random. All I got last year was a phone call. I won't buy food delivered until I know what the quality and taste are like. I'm their perfect target market but it doesn't seem like telling them that over the phone makes a difference.

  • I did receive a meal from this company a long time ago. It was a Thai green chicken curry. Unfortunately it did not come with rice.
At the time the website had themed meal packs which included a gluten-free option. In my mind this was something that clearly separated them from companies such as Lite'n'Easy. I can no longer find ingredient or allergen listings on the website.

  • i got a free one the first time no phone call. they would not send one to my neighbour because she was close to me but they said that in an email. it was alright i think i got indian like butter chicken or something well it doesnt come with rice so or veg so you still have to cook. only a small amount of meat and the rest is sauce, it did taste nice though. i assume your posting this because you are new to easy meals and you saw the ourdeal this morning, 6 meals for $21 i got 1 coz i had a $10 code to use and if anything the dog does enjoy something different now and then

  • Yeah they just call then try to get u to buy something from them but if u say no u dont even hear from them again. My argument is if u dont let me try how do I know if its good or not before spending money on it? Just a scam…

  • They told me that you need to pay for them by the month to get a "free" meal, don't fall for this crap!!!!

  • I don't like the phrase "distributed randomly at Easy Meals discrection".
