    Both VA panels sadly, disgusting.jpg

    • buttons on the back are disgusting if anything, lol.

  • The 34 screen seems same to the Xiaomi 34,
    34 inch VA QHD 144Hz.

  • Apologies if my opinion is not the best, but I don't know think these are a good price for what they are.

Both are VA panels, low HDR rating, standard colour gamut

I agree, the ebay plus deal of $360 for the S2721DGF was a much sweeter one

It's unclear if these using updated panels or not, but the value is bad either way, just to different degrees.

Buy xiaomi 34 is better than this…

For office usage? No way. Xiaomi has a blurry image. Not good for non gaming task.

Depends on your individual circumstances. I’d personally avoid any 3440 x 1440 monitor like this one is as I’d prefer two 2540 x 1440 monitors or a 4k monitor with or without a second monitor rather than this.

I’d say in almost every case the dell curved 32” 4k would be better than this at a similar price (both are curved VA screens too), or you can actually get two dell 27” IPS 4k monitors for a similar price which is awesome if you have the space and right connectivity to drive them.

Ultimately it depends on what is right for you though.

The other thing you may want to look for is USB-C connectivity. It does limit you options and cost more, but depending on you requirements, it might be worthwhile for the convenience.

      • Agree, ever since having 2 x 24" monitors for work/productivity, going to one is pretty hard. One ultrawide would be fine if it's big enough (49") as you lose a bit of height on the 34-35" having the same height as a 24" (Dell ultrasharps are great though, having a bit more height at 16:10). 1x ultrawide would be good for gaming (but so is 1x 32" curved). I think you need 4k if going 34" ultra or bigger as the pixels can be too limited in the x-axis (stretched). Currently using 2x 3220DGF for work and it's great. 4k would have been good and was almost thinking of mixing /matching one but already had a 32DGF and would have been a pain. Still like something you can game on, don't need to use both but can. The vertical bar in the middle is a bit distracting. 3x27DGF would be better for racing sims etc.

If it was pure office work 4k would be good but still a bit overrated in general - things get pretty small (but makes sense on a 65" TV). Hard to say really

  • I got the 34" (the Xiaomi equivalent) recently. Pretty decent colours for a VA screen. The silver exterior, while plastic, is very eye catching.

  • Dell site says "In Stores Only" for some products
Does anyone know if Dell has any physical stores in SA.

    • I wasn't aware Dell has any physical stores in Oz.

  • Looks like DELL has restocked S3422DWG
