    $391.37 with code PEOFY22
    great deal!

Welp, time to hand in my Ozbargain Membership..

    • Honestly I don't see why people don't take the lower price, even pay the member for one month only cost 4.99, this single order will save extra 10. That's 5 net saving. Plus may take benefits during the whole month.

  • good price for this phone.

  • whats the camera like compare to x2 pro?

  • My current Oppo is doing me fine, but couldn't resist this one at the price, Thanks op, now need boost to roll out a bit of 5g or i'll have to move :P

  • If one is thinking of making the switch from Apple to android, would getting this after having a 11 pro max feel like an upgrade? Or hold out longer?

    • I have the X2 Pro and would see the X2 Pro a worthwhile upgrade or sidegrade from the 11 pro max. YMMV - it depends on what you're seeking to gain from moving to Android.

      • Nice thanks for your perspective, will delve deeper

    • Isn't an 11 Pro a $1500 phone? Even though this is a very good phone how could it be an upgrade?

      • That’s why I asked. In the last almost two years androids phones have come along way. I’m seeing affordable androids with high refresh rate, processors, brighter screens, longer battery life, much better cameras/video & some with a hefty amount more of ram. So aside from migrating from iOS to android, I’m curious if the specs make it better in terms of hardware. That’s all (:

        • I haven't found it to be lacking in any way if that helps.

          • @bmerigan: Thanks. I see a wopping 12 gb of ram, & not sure if android specs directly correlate with ios specs in terms of hardware. Because I know optimisations make all the difference.

Im still looking into it more as I can wait it out for a while longer, but do look forward to making the switch!

  • Good price. Pity not dual Sim.

    • +1

      Or wireless charging.

  • +2

Shame they've upped the price by $100…

    • Still showing the same price for me after applying the code.

      • Bizarre, is now. Price was $601.xx Now $501 before code… cheers.

  • +1

My daughter has this phone and its been awesome for her. All her mates are envious of the camera quality

    • Yep mine too. Awesome phone, especially for the price.

  • Anyone is buying this one to use on 5G network? What 5G plans on offer?

  • Phone is a bargain at this price. Only issue that led me to a Sammy over this recently, was no wireless charging…

  • Paid 5 for eBay plus to get extra 10 off. Wife can not wait for pro on special.

  • Just grabbed one, awsome thanks mate!

  • How is this with updates? Still running Android 10?

    • I think it's on 11

      • What about monthly security patches?

        • My Reno 5g is one year older than this phone, still getting that every 1 or 2 months. Not as google push out every month on time. But still getting it. So this should getting it too.

          • @ce5himm: Yeah, but it should get updates until at least May, 2022 ….. I would like to know how good Oppo are with updates beyond 3 years; I know Samsung was crap, but they improved (at least with flagships?). The 2 year OS and 3 year security patches is not enough for me unless the phone is very good and also cheap (read low TCO).

            • @affinity: I never use a phone over 3 years, can not comment on that.

        • Yep within a couple weeks.

    • Mine is on Android 11, last updated 7th June.

i thought these phones don't run google stuff now?

    • +1

No Huawei don't run google , Oppo does

  • Is it worth replacing my Samsung S10 with this phone?

    • +1

I don't think it's ever worth replacing a working phone. Seems the answer to this question depends on the person.

  • I was considering getting the Oppo A74 5G for my new phone - I only need a midrange phone. How would the X2 Neo compare, given it is one generation behind? I can read all the reviews I like, but some user experience would be cool. Both phones are currently around the same price (with this deal).

I don't care about camera quality, or blazing processor speed for mobile gaming.

    • +1

It's not a flagship phone like a Samsung S21 or whatever Apple has released this month, but it has great specs for what I see as an advanced midrange phone.
The 12 GB of RAM helps the older processor a lot, screen is great
FWIW, my daughter had the A73 before this phone and the step up was incredible. Paid $649, which at the time was a good price. At this price, it's a bargain.
Her friend, who has owned several phones, including the latest iphone at the time, was surprised at its quality and speed.
She does heaps of younger person stuff with it that I don't understand, but she reports that it does everything she wants.

      • Headphone jack would be nice, and SD card option always handy but at least it has plenty of memory.

It only seems to be available in black, whereas the blue looks nicer.

        • +1

Blue is out of stock all over au, so forget about it. Buy a case, you can have whatever colour you want

        • Headphone jack adapted is only a couple dollars.

  • Picked this one few weeks back for $429 from Mobileciti store and this phone has been really good. I've been using it as a secondary with my S10+ and I'm impressed.

Camera is amazing on this one, and the battery life is really good(specially Supercharging). Higher storage (256gb) and ram (12gb) is always good to have.

Love the sleek design and large screen size of this one. Very premium finish and a big yes at this price point. Nothing even comes close which is 5G for about $400.

  • Cheers. Just ordered the phone and a protective case for a grand total of $398.36. My Pixel 2 is on its last legs so this should be a nice upgrade.

    • +1

It comes with a basic case and screen protector pre- applied, so hope your case better be a fancy one.
Definitely a good upgrade I use to have pixel 2xl.

      • +1

        Camera compared to pixel 2xl?

        • Brought this for my wife to replace her p30 pro, camerawise is a downgrade from Huawei for sure, but she can't live with a broken camera any longer. Hope she will be fine. I just ordered today, so haven't tested yet

          • @ce5himm: Man this was a super helpful answer. I have a p30 non pro and couldn't bear a camera downgrade because I'm too spoiled with this camera… If you wouldn't mind giving you opinion on this when you get it (or hers when she compares it to her old phone) that would be rad

            • +1

@flashkobalt: Her p30 pro camera is broken, that's why I am buying her this. Guess it won't be a side by side comparison. The only thing would be what she feels of it.
We were looking at the find x2 pro, but with this price, she don't want wait anymore. Like you said it's a good deal. With some gift card, i only paid 361 which include the 4.99 eBay plus fee.

  • New model coming out?

    • Find X3 already there.

      • Awkward. I purchased the Reno Z and a new model dropped within a few months. Thanks

        • +2

There is always a new model around the corner. I normally buy last year's mid-top range on discount whenever i need to buy a new phone.

  • Was trying to find how this compared to the redmi note 8 pro i am currently using.

    Found this page: https://www.gsmarena.com/oppo_reno_3_pro_5g_find_x2_neo-revi…

Which puts the oppo pretty close performance wise to the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite.

Checking that against the long list of phones here: https://www.antutu.com/en/ranking/rank1.htm the mi note 10 lite is performs worse than the now old redmi note 8 pro.

Regretting i missed the $379 realme x3 superzoom deal from earlier in the month. No 5g but that isnt a big priority for me currently.

  • +1

they lower the price, it's 358.8 with code,

    • Thank you for notifying. Bought one. Awesome.

    • +1

Sadness, just bought one a couple hours ago.

      • I brought in the morning. If you really want, you can return it and buy again. $30 difference, not sure if it's worth the drama

        • +3

          For an ozbargainer it is!!

          • @vinnycol: i'd rather spend that time hunting for another awesome deal. could worth more than $30

  • +1

Price back again to $501.76 before discount.

    • +2

      oops,those brought at 358 got a bargain.
the bargain price only last 3.5 hours. from 18:11 to 21:43.
they are doing this to stop people (who brought at 391) to return and reorder.

      • I was watching that last night but couldn't decide on this or the Telstra-unlocked X2 Pro from the other thread. Probably should have pulled the trigger on this at the lower price.

        • Those are for different markets. If you need those features on pro, definitely go for it. If neo fits your needs, even at 391 is still a good price.
My wife wanted the pro purely for the camera to replace her p30 pro. She don't care of other features, but at this price, she decide to go for neo. And save the hundreds for something else.

          • @ce5himm: "Need"? Not really, but some of the futureproofing, and stuff like the IP rating, would be nice. If my phone isn't physically broken I don't change it.

  • Price gone up and down XD

  • +1

    Just received it. Very fast

  • Bit late but for future reference - I purchased the Neo in the mobileciti sale for $394.24 delivered and it is amazing value. I have an Samsung Galaxy A51 and it blows it to pieces in almost every aspect. The VOOC charging is blisteringly fast. The 90Hz screen is very clean and so far the photo experience has been more than sufficient. Only downside is colour OS is not as refined as the old fateful Samsungs but I don't even care in the slightest because of the price. I was very close to getting the S20 5G and looking back if I had of known how good the Oppo was I wouldn't of even considered it.

Note that the Find X2 Lite is also a great phone. If you don't care for the extra 30Hz refresh rate and curved glass it's well worth it (I think RAM is also slightly lower). Anyway, I think the Neo demonstrates many traits of a premium flagship device and for the everyday user it meets or exceeds modern performance requirements. For sub $400 you might as well give it a crack, I'm glad I did!
