i reckon ur link is a better deal IMHO as the batteries are 4amp instead of 1.5Amp + the hard case is always a better option..

    • DCD709: 65Nm Torque, 28,050 BPM for high speed masonry drilling, 175mm Compact length
DCF809: 125mm Compact length, 190Nm Torque, Variable speed trigger

This kit is really good value right now and probably the highlight bargain.

I noticed today they had a bunch stacked at the counter. I don't think they'll last long.

It was $399 not that long ago.

      • it is Atomic though, the compact model, and i think someone said it was less power or torque

        • John's post above mine shows the atomic DCF809 found in this kit has more torque..

"Compared to the current entry-level Dewalt brushless impact driver, DCF787, the new DCF809 is slightly more compact, and more powerful, at 1700 in-lb vs. 1500 in-lbs"

How much torque do you need for an impact driver?

It's not busting nuts all day….

Value wise you got the pick of the bunch getting the
          DCK296T2T-XE Kit with redemption grinder.

1.5Ah would be a little annoying and possibly limit the power output of the skins.

  • Bit off topic, can anyone recommend an impact socket set for 1/2”.
    Mixed set or deep socket.

      Neiko 02474A 1/2" Drive Deep Impact Socket Set, 15 Piece | 6 Point Metric Sizes (10 - 24 mm) | Cr-V Steel

Only $66 currently, its only Cr-V not Cr-M but they seem pretty solid to me.

I just got this and for some reason I got 2 x 2.0Ah batteries instead of 1.5Ah. Did anyone else get this?

    • Awesome, I didn't order these
