Edit: I've managed to knock almost $300 off the discounted price of the Inspiron 13 7300 Laptop. Great specs (512GB SSD, 16GB RAM, MX350 2GB graphics) and weighs less than 1kg! Only 50 units available at 7pm.

I reached out to Dell and managed to secure a deal for the 34 inch monitor plus some extra stock of the S2721D and S2721Q at $1 cheaper. Consider the extra $1 as a free 7-Eleven small coffee from me.

Have the S2721QS but scratched it last night, is only difference between that and S2721Q not having speakers? If so will pick one up.

    • It was the S3221QS (32 inch) last night. All sold out.

      • Post says S2721Q?

        • yeah he might have read it as you talking about the deal last night, your right that the only diff between the S2721Q and 2721QS models is the stand.

    • +3

akaik, the QS comes with better stand. nothing to do with speakers

      • +2

You can tilt, rotate, incline, rise on the QS. Speakers are still pretty crap

    • the S2721Q monitors have speakers

  • +2

Any chance we can get more stock for the s3221qs? I missed the boat :'(

  • +7

Will the invoice be dated for today?

    • I would also like to have this confirmed please.

      • See below mate

    • I want to buy but I need it invoiced for today. Can anyone else confirm?

      • Nopes, the date will when it leaves Dell's warehouse. I ordered two on 21 June, got an invoice this morning with yesterday's date.

    • I ordered "Dell 27 4K UHD Monitor - S2721Q" last Thursday from them on ebay and still haven't received an invoice. So not sure on which date it will be

      • invoice will only be sent after delivery and will date with the delivery date in my previous experience buying a monitor on ebay from dell

        • Same from my last Dell monitor, ordered on 25Jan and invoice date 2Feb.

        • It's a bit unfair as they already processed the money

          • @kosmonaft: not sure how does this work on backend, may be ebay will on hold of their money?

            • @SnoozeAndLose: they issue invoice until they delivery. so it is in new financial year…

      • It took 3 weeks for delivery for me.

I got the curved 32 inch model with speakers & I like it.

    • +1

No, I bought S3422DW on 22nd May, invoice date is 1st June which the second day when dispatched.

    • +1

based on feedback of others from recent deals, Dell issues invoice 1-2 days after delivery, Dell's logic behind it is so you don't lose out on warranty

    • Response from Dell was that invoice will generally be from the delivery date onwards.

  • +1

Bought a S3221QS, should I have waited for the S3422DW?
Using it to WFH what are the major differences besides a slightly larger screen?

    • +2

      it's different aspect

      ultrawide vs 16:9

    • Would consider buying your s3221qs if you don't want it. I missed out hah :(

    • +7

32 vs 34 shouldn't necessarily be thought of as slightly larger.

A 34 ultrawide is essentially a really wide 27, a 32" is going to have more vertical space but less width. For working, i find the vertical real-estate of a 32 more useful, but it'll depend on the person.

      http://www.displaywars.com/34-inch-21x9-vs-31,5-inch-16x9

If you look at the above link, a 32" (31.5 actually) will actually have more area than a 34" due to the aspect ratio.

    • @JMosk let me know if you change your mind? Would love to consider a S3221qs myself. Thanks 😊

      • Going to wait for it to get delivered and try it out.
If I decide that I don't want to keep it then I will let you know but don't know when that might be

        • No stress just gutted I havE fomo now haha

      • I also have a S3221QS that I bought 3 months ago and I'm seriously tempted with the 34 inch as we use the same monitors at work and Im actually finding them good for when I have multiple windows open due to the width..

Pricing even now is good enough for a Dell screen but do I really want one lol.

        Decisions, decisions!

  • +2

Not sure if it is just me, but I prefer the aspect ratio of 32" over the 34".
34" seems a bit vertically challenge.

    • Totally depend on your own needs, I got mine 34' 4 week ago, never want to look at a 16:9 similar size monitor again.

      • What do you use it for?

I'm considering getting the 34 inch tonight but not sure if 32 would suit me better.

I'm heavy excel, browser, calendar etc usage and use software based split screen viewing etc on a single monitor rather than having multiple

        • Normal office, Chrome, casual wow. this 34' can handle split no issue, but I guess 2 monitor will give you slight bigger total screen size because physically two 27' are slighter bigger than one 34', if you're considering two of 32' then will much bigger than one 34'.

        • +2

Do you need to view & compare 3 documents side-by-side together a lot? If so ->34
Do you deal with very long spreadsheets which often involves quite a bit of vertical scrolling on your current setup? If so ->32

          • @deliriouss: Awesome this is perfect, thank you! Definitely vertical for me. I have 2 side by side almost permanently (never 3), and they're long vertically

            • @jamestownfx: Glad to be of help. I spent the last two weeks contemplating which size to go for myself, went into a retail store that had a 32" and a 34" on display side-by-side, played around with them for 10 minutes and that's the impression I left the store with. I have suitable use cases for both, so for me the final call was whichever size that has a better deal first.

    • 32 inch is probably best if you have multiple monitors. The aspect ratio is also compatible with tvs.

  • Looking for a nice 34 inch IPS for WFH. Any options that don’t require a bank loan?

    • Curved? If not there is some lg

      • Ok thanks will check them out. Any recommendations?

  • Dell 34" or Xiaomi 34"?

    • At this price Dell might have better QC. Though Xiaomi has 144hz. That said, no issues with my xiaomi. Would be interesting to compare the dell.

      • seems like xiaomi is more curved?

        • +3

Depends on your preference. Apparently the more curved, the more it hits the spot. Of immersion I mean.

      • Still thinking I am using LG IPS 34" 1080p not curved not sure is it worth to upgrade to WQHD curved VA.

        • cant do 1080p… that is too big

          • @SS625: 2560x1080 is like 24" 1080p just wider.

            • +1

@superforever: Nope, it is like 27, even worse.

            • @superforever: yea i mean pixel are too big… need at least 1440p

              • @SS625: I understand but not sure worth to pay another $400 for a new one and don't know what to do with the old one.

              • @SS625: I have another computer with the 27" S2721DS, I only feel a bit better than my LG with TEXT but youtube video really better.

    • I think the Xiaomi one has a better panel but Dell has better warranty coverage.
      Personally I prefer 1500c over 1800c.

  • 34 Curved Monitor is showing $479.20 after applying the code.

    • +1

Wait till 7pm AEST, my brother.

      • +1

        Saw that now, sorry.

        • +6

We're all human here. Except for @dealbot finding amazing deals for us!

    • dam I got this monitor for that price few weeks back
Fantastic monitor only it got cheaper :(

      • Do you think dell can refund the difference if requested?

  • +4

    Do I need a 3rd S2721Q ?

  • +2

Did anyone order a S2721Q from dealbots last post and is your order arriving by 30th July?

    • +3

"Estimated delivery Fri 23 Jul - Fri 30 Jul"
but I've ordered from Dell ebay before and it always arrives within a week or so

    • +5

I live in Metropolitan Melbourne and grabbed 2x S2721Q

Ordered from eBay: Mon, Jun 21, 5PM
Estimated Delivery: Tue, 20 Jul - Tue, 27 Jul
Tracking Number received: Mon, Jun 28, 5PM
Arrived via StarTrack: Tue, Jun 29, 3PM
Invoice Received: Wed, Jun 30, 3AM
      Invoice Dated: 29/06/2021
Text printed on invoice: "Full Payment made on eBay before/on 30 June 2021"

Hope this helps everyone with Tax timings

      • +1

I ordered the S2721QS on 21/06 and have exactly the same sequence in terms of delivery and receipt of invoice.

Also the tax invoice shows the amount before the eBay code was applied. Something to think about when making tax claims.

  • This Dell 34" curved or the Xiaomi 34" curved? Seem to read the reviews between these 2 are same-same ?
(Not using it for gaming, only wanted a larger monitor for my WFH spreadsheets)

    • im using the xiaomi now and considering another 34"… not sure if i should wait for xiaomi so they can be the same or this dell

    • +1

I think Xiaomi is a little bit more curved, I got my Dell 34' and very happy.

    • The Xiaomi has a wider colour gamut, higher refresh rate, more aggressive curve, picture in picture, picture by picture, display port 1.4; Dell S3422DW has speakers, USB-A ports and better warranty.
If the price is the same, personally I would go for Xiaomi.

  • +1

More Pixels + Less Hz or Less Pixel + More Hz?

    • +1

      Gaming -> Hz
      Anything else -> pixels

  • Can I plug these monitors into USBC on laptop to get video out and charge laptop in one plug?

    • +3

      Not directly. You’d need a hub/dock.
The monitor themselves do not have USBC or Power Delivery.

  • +1

anyone know if it's easy to do split screen with Citrix with the 34" curved monitor?

    • Using Macbook which has easy way to split screens, again win 11 will have it by default

      • that's software though? not native on the monitor itself

  • +1

Stop pushing me, I have 3 already. Paid over $300as well.

    This is killing me, lol.

    • +1

Buy more, bring the average price down.

  • +4

Waiting for a deal on USB-C monitors!

  • +2

    Anything 27-34" with USB-C PD?
It's super handy to dock a laptop with one cable.

  • Nice deal. Trying to find one for Photoshop and Web work. Will these gaming monitors be good for that, or are different models recommended?

    • +1

If you don't necessarily need a big screen then the S2721QS ($299 after the 20% discount) is probably the best budget one for productivity and colour accuracy. If you plan to VESA-mount it to an arm then just get the S2721Q, Q and QS are essentially the same model except the QS has a height adjustable stand which is fully rotatable.

      • +2

Thanks, will get the S2721QS, I think it's time to replace the old U2711, can't believe it lasted this long.

        • I just recently replaced a 2405, and handed it along, still going :)

  • +1

    Bought 34" for $479 less than a month ago …now $50 less 😢

    • +1

Sorry to hear about that. Is it Any good though ?

      • +3

Yes, but u will have glare if there is light behind you. preferred dell over xiaomi just for warranty and support purpose.
Dell has extra ports ans speakers. But missing PIP

  • oh bummer both 27" are out of stock now, these were bargains!

    • @Omarko.

Dude. These deals will go live at 7pm AEST

      • the deal is live but its saying there is no stock, I can see the price and the 20% coupon which would get it to the right price but it says item is out of stock.

        • +1

My understanding, and I have purchased 2 different variations of these Dell deals from dealbot is that each occasion it has shown as out of stock. At the time it goes live, I've refreshed in that precise minute to see an out of stock message change to a buy now indicator.

    • +1

the code has been lived since few days ago, they will restock it later at 7PM AEST.
set your alarm, and prepare your gift card.
