I picked up this card back in Dec 2020, very happy with it. Runs cool and pretty quiet.

you mean the 3080 not the 3080ti
but yea the cooler is pretty good3080 Ti only launched a month ago so you may be mistaken.
lol this wont run cool and quiet. I have the 2080Ti strix and it sits at 75c under load (RDR2 maxed @ 4k)
the fans are also loud enough to be annoying (im used to almost dead silence from a custom loop).
If i wasnt putting a waterblock on it, id be very disappointed with my purchase.Nice price for this tho, ppl were paying that for the top 2080Ti models back when they first released. Hopefully prices keep dropping over the coming months.
Dunno how to feel about this. It's a good price in the current market but it's not a great price for the card. That being said I could probably sell my RTX 3080 for overs and buy this.

I ordered my 3080ti from here, their shipping estimates are accurate.
GPU prices are falling sharply in the US 20-30% in the last month or so due to the crypto market, Expect more of these cards around this price soon.
I don’t care if you think it’s overpriced, this is the cheapest rtx card in stock at the moment. If you are going to have a cry that it’s not a deal then find one cheaper and post it on ozbargain in case someone was looking to buy one.
Your logic is flawed.
Just because $2k has been the "cheapest" for a 3070, or $3k has been the "cheapest" for a 3080, does not make either of them a 'deal'.
That's the reason why there haven't been any/many RTX posts for the last 6 months.
Stock is a big issue there. It has been exceedingly rare to find 10 items in stock that aren't at "insane" (eBay) prices!
If someone needs a gpu today, for whatever reason, the best price is the best price. I'm personally waiting, but if you need it today, then that's it.
it definately makes it a deal. The market is completely screwed, but buying at a price cheaper than current market value is still a deal. Whether this is worth it to someone depends on how much they want it and how much disposable income they have.

Sure, compared to previous iterations they are expensive. Still can be a deal for someone, maybe just not for you.

in 2-3 months the Ti variants of these cards will be at least 70% of the price theyre listed as now because theyre trash to mine with and are only bought by gam3rs
it mines as rtx 3060, so not that bad.
It's a cumulative thing. LHR, combined with eth going pos, combined with drop in crypto price. All lends itself to better prices!
