      • yep second that pic/scan request.

Will definitely get some if available in QLD.

I wonder if you could buy enough to paint a house cheaply? :P

    • Hi which store ? u visited any?

      • +1

just phoned at 2 local QLD bunnings and they don't know anything about it - might be too early, sometimes employees are the last to know about promos.

I wonder if u could get 8 or 20 sample pots of the same colour = $8 for 4L or $20 for 10L of paint.

Or if they won't let you do it go to multiple Bunnings for the same product…

Thinking like a true ozbargainer :P

    • +2

A TRUE ozbargainer probably just stick with their existing wall colour and not bother with getting sample pots, cause you'd then have to buy brushes, painting tapes etc. :D

      • +3

A TRUE Ozbargainer would've already owned the brushes/tapes/overalls/ladders from buying from previous OZB posts.

      • A true ozbargainer gets the best deal on paint, brushes AND tape.

Has anyone been able to get a copy of the ad from the paper? I called in SA they had no idea about the promo. Which paper was it in?

  • I just received tis week's leader newspaper, but I can't find dacoupon. Can someone advice which page it's on?

  • I'm wondering is this is maybe a price beat for Masters??

Just be aware these aren't a finishing paint. They're perfectly fine for those little jobs that you don't want to spend a fortune on, but for walls etc you're going to want something that will clean without masses of elbow grease.

I reckon they'd be fine for a basecoat though for those hard to cover colours. Simply tint to the same colour you're planning to paint, whack on a coat (or two for really difficult colours) then slap a good quality finishing coat over the lot.

A local paint store here sells their mistints for $5 a litre. Got a 6 litre tin of weathertough forte for $30 for the trims when we were repainting the outside of the house. :)

I went to my local Bunnings today (VIC) and they had a lot of these sample pots.

It is the Nippon Paint (run out deal - which they do not stock in the future anymore). It is "Low Sheen white" and you can get it mixed it to any off white tone. (not sure how many they would mix for you).

They already had previous deals on Nippon Paint (they still have some gloss paint for window frames and doors for 25$ for 4l … they are usually also double or triple the price depending on the brand).

I just bought 48 pots which are 24 litres of quality paint for $48 !!! I would not even get a 4l pot of Dulux for that price … so I see this as a 80% discount on paint! Great deal … thanks for the post!

    • Thanks for leaving so many for others!

      • Yeah … no worries. I am always happy to give more information about the deals and share them. There are still hundreds left. (and the glossy paint is on shelf for over a month now and still not sold out !!!). So maybe I should go back and buy more.

Who would drive to Bunnings (around 10km return from my home … so would costs you 5 in car costs/petrol) to buy 1 sample pot … you need at least 4l-6l for 1 normal sized bedroom room.

        • Running out of room to pin the medals!
