    Greatest keyboard ever!

    • is it really? been thinking to get one but hesitating between a wireless mechanical keyboard and this.

      • I've had gaming keyboards before and never really loved one. This is simple and a pleasure to type on. The nicest keyboard to type on I've ever experienced.
Can't speak for gaming performance since I'm a console guy these days.

        • not a gamer either but kinda like the clicky feel on blue stroke that's all. :) thanks for the advice!

      • This is the last keyboard you'll need. Even slamming on the keys are so quiet!

My only cons - that Lock button on the top right button gets accidentally pressed when pressing minus.. and have to unlock my work laptop each time.

        • I didn't even notice this key existed. Nice! I like it.

        • +2

If you install their program (Logitech Options) you can remap the button to anything you want. I've disabled it altogether as no matter what I choose, it's intrusive when you accientally press it but the ability to change each function is another great feature I like. My 'camera' button is mapped to the snipping tool as I frequently use it to prove points at work haha and the button over (scroll lock??) is mapped to excel as I use it so frequently.

          • +1

@MrKnowItAll: Oh, might give Logitech Options a go :) that Snipping remap may be useful! Definitely disabling lock haha

        • Yeah I found this too! I changed the button from lock to minimise

          Great keyboard for work

If you can, I recommend heading to the shops (like JB) and trying the keys out. Normally, I prefer mechanical keyboards but the MX Keys is by far the best non-mechanical keyboard I've used. It's good for the office or shared spaces where people do not appreciate loud mechanical keyboards.

        • Do you know if office-works have these on display to try?

          • +1

@mikey31: I've seen them on display at Officeworks, Harvey Norman and Big W, but it depends on the store.

  • I got free shipping (metro VIC), but coupon code is invalid.
    Ended with $157.25 include GST.

    • +3

The code is working for me for $148. Did you login with a W1 account?

  • +1

The only keyboard you need this WFH. I'm loving this keyboard since purchasing on Wireless1 Birthday deal !!! So quiet too! No regrets for this price.

  • +1

    Thanks OP, Grabbed one

  • +1

    Thanks got one!

  • Tempting….but the $29 Aldi Rapoo combo is still working very well!

  • Coming up as $157.25 for me

    • +3

Make a free W1 account to get $148 with the coupon.

Trying to get Officeworks to meet or beat the price. Cleverly, they say "We'll get back to you, might be a day or so", which sounds like a way for them to compel the user to take the Wireless1 offer or risk missing out. How to have a price beat guarantee without a price beat guarantee.

    • Try calling / go in store for the price beat?

      • +2

Yeah, I did that right after my comment. Got a much better response, and bought two. Now to wait for a deal on the MX Master 3

        • How much after price beat?

  • +1

    Thanks OP got one!

  • Jesus that's insanely cheap.

I got OW to price match digidirect last week

  • Didn't say what else can use the code.

  • +2

I bought this keyboard for about this price after seeing so many people saying it's the best keyboard in the world best keyboard ever I will never use my mechanical keyboard again blah blah blah

it's nothing special, glorified laptop keyboard

certainly not worth the price imo

I had a brown cherry mx before this and certainly prefer that but was looking for something slimmer (apparently the only good one costs like $300 from logitech lightspeed too so a bit pricey for me)

I bought the Microsoft Creator TKL keyboard as well and it is literally just as good if not better and a lot cheaper

    • +1

Do you mean the designer keyboard from Microsoft?

      • yes microsoft designer compact keyboard sorry

        • Doesn't have a number keypad though; you'd need to buy that separately; also not illuminated (right?)

    • it's nothing special, glorified laptop keyboard

This, I have no idea what people are on about when they rave about the MX Keys. It feels just like any other laptop keyboard.

The main reason to get the MX Keys is the 3 dedicated keys for bluetooth profiles that let you quickly switch between 3 different computers/devices. But that's a fairly niche use case for most people.

    • Which is the Microsoft TKL that you bought?

I've been considering getting one of the MX Keys for a while, but also considering something more compact, so curious to know how they compare. The Logitech unifying receiver is certainly a plus, especially compared to bluetooth connections.

      • +1

the only issue with the microsoft designer compact keyboard is i think you need bluetooth

        • I've read that bluetooth keyboard connections can be unstable at times, or is this more for the cheaper/lower end devices?

    • Different folks, different strokes.

Designer Compact cons, from my perspective:
      - Compact arrow keys (can get the Designer, but that bumps the cost to $137)
      - Narrower body around the outside
      - Powered by AAA batteries instead of plug in recharge
      - No backlighting for night time or dim environments
      - Need to use bluetooth

It's a vastly different keyboard, it's not hard to see why many people love this keyboard. I personally use mine on both Mac and PC computers and having the keys be suited to both (i.e. opt / start and cmd / alt printed on the buttons) is a massive step up from most keyboards.

      • who needs opt and cmd printed on the key to know…………………….

Just bought this keyboard, been eyeing on this for a while and heard a lot of good reviews about it, especially it can switch to different devices.
Missed a bundle deal (keyboard + mouse + palm rest) for $315 ish..from JB Hi fi back in mid June

got the free delivery to Sydney area, $148. You need to create a W1 account, place product in the cart and the coupon code will appear at the top with 4 cap letters. (at least this was what's shown in my check out page).

  • Has anyone used this keyboard for a Mac and can share thoughts? I've got a mac and a windows pc that I transition between for work and would like to use this for both.

    • I use it for mac and installed the logitech software. It's pretty good

    • hey mate I've been watching reviews on Youtube. It's quite seamless. If you look at the keys for, the option|start & Cmd|alt - my understanding is once you switch it to Mac it will automatically switch to the option and cmd keys. Hopefully this makes sense!

    • Keyboard auto switches its layout depending on the connected device. This is why I got it was my work keyboard as I use both. There is a small delay better switching I've noticed but it got to be minimal now as I have 2 receivers pairs to 2 preset as I got a MX Master 3 mouse.

You are a legend OP. Been wanting to get this keyboard for ages, finally pulled the trigger.

Edit: wish they had this sales before EOFY..now I gotta wait to claim it end of this FY haha

  • +2

Just got one from Officeworks for $140! Thanks OP

  • On a side note if you are looking for a gaming keyboard the MK730 is also on sale, highly recommend.

  • I'm getting curious, how good are these? compared to mechanic keyboards?

    • +1

Much quieter and less fatiguing if you’re doing a lot of typing IMO (shorter stroke). By far the best number-pad I’ve ever used - the concave keys are great.

      • in terms of type feeling and key feedback?

        • +1

I enjoy it - reasonably crisp - not to the level of the magic keyboard/new MacBook keyboards, but those have much less key travel. There should be demo models setup in store.

Hard to compare to mechanical - I previously had a brown-switch KB. I loved the feel of the mech over short typing sessions, but it bothered everyone around me at home and silencers ruined the feel (+ I wouldn’t be very well-liked at work).

          • @donnot: Thanks a lot for your detailed response, I might actually consider this for the sake of silence.

  • Damn, I was just deciding and now sold out.

  • Anyone have any order updates on this? I heard some people saying Wirless1 take ages to complete them. Hope this isn't the case as its for a birthday early next month. My order still processing placed on the 13th.

    • +2

I've ordered from them a few times. Usually fast.

I think they're based in Western Sydney? That could be the issue coz of lockdowns

    • did you buy it when it said in stock or back order? I got mine within 4 days but I ordered while it was in stock still.

    • +1

@SoggyThief Have you received your order? How long did it take?
They are based in Wetherill Park (Fairfield LGA) which has had arguably the strictest of COVID restrictions in NSW

      • +1

My order has just been dispatched. Expected next week.we will see though…

        • Oh fair enough. Fingers crossed for you.
They've been great in the past. I guess they've just been hard done by restrictions as confirmed by this tweet.
Still better than the recent digiDirect deal which is a back order and more expensive

  • +2

    Back in stock now

    • +1

Thanks I removed the OOS label.

  • Coupon code not valid

    • Did you login with an account?

      • Nup

        • Make an account and the code will work.

  • Office Works refused to price match saying they do not do it against coupon prices.

  • seems not valid anymore.
