  • This is a good price. I used to have these headphones, but I feel the off/on switch is faulty. Just be careful about that, when I told Bose (and alerted them to the fact that it was a systemic issue - expecting that they could fix it for a price), they told me that I could buy it for $50 off their full price (whoop-ti-doo!).

    • +1

Yes it's systemic. Mine won't turn off and if it does then will just turn on by itself.

    • I'm using the 1st gen (bought it off my partner, excellent condition) the button seems fine hmm.. but I should watch out for that

    • I had this issue with my gen1, filed a support request and they ended up exchanging it with a brand new qc35ii. Guess I got lucky!

      • maybe it was early (before they realised it was a systemic issue)?

  • Some of the other types of headphones are also on special.

I don't know if this information is useful for anyone but I'll just put it out there. I got these from the last deal to replace my QC15

    • Cannot use wirelessly whilst charging. Have to use the aux cable.
    • Mine is paired with my PC but have to disconnect from my phone every time. Any sound from the phone takes priority so it's really annoying when you're watching netflix or something.
    • It needs to be connected to the phone via the app to enable it to connect to anything else…

if anyone has any fixes would love to hear.

    Good headphones though!

    • damn so how is performance one an iphone then? or best to stick with airpods?

    • +1

I received mine a few weeks ago and have had a different experience to you.

I don't require the phone app to connect to anything (use it wirelessly with my XPS 15 and android phone without the app ever being installed).

I can also easily swap between the two pairings by sliding the bluetooth slider to the right. Likewise if I stop playing music or a video on my phone or laptop and begin playing something on the other device, it will instantly start playing without any delay. I don't have to disconnect bluetooth from my phone or laptop to use the other device.

Your first point is annoying, but I keep mine topped up.

Love these QC35s. Most comfortable headphones I've ever used and highly recommend to anyone.

    • Yeah re your second point, that’s true of all bt headphones in my experience. Just use the slider to select device.

      Third point is not true

    • run a software update to version 4.8.1. they have improved BT experience while connected to multiple devices.
My QC35II charge really fast.. so no a big issue to put headphones down to charge for a few mins

  • which headphones are better, [these] (https://www.bose.com.au/en_au/products/headphones/noise_canc…) or the ones listed by op?

    • -1

700 is newer and better but more $$

      • +2

They don't fold, they arguably sound worse, they're less comfortable, they're much more expensive.

Their benefits are they can pair with multiple devices, and have USBC; neither of which are of interest to me when I'm listening to music on my phone - the only thing I use them for.

        • Hmm my QC 35 I also pairs to multiple devices but?

        That's a serious review.

  • Decent price, currently $286 on amazon.

  • No highs, no lows, must be Bose

  • +1

These are still one of the most comfortable ANC headphones.

  • These or Sony XM4 ?? anyone has used both and can compare ?

    • You can get these for the 90 day trial. Thats a pretty good deal

      • Thanks. Do you know if they have more bass or stereo ?

        • +1

They have good bass, not overwhelming like beats. The acoustics are good for music, these would be one of the nicest ANC you will wear.

But my main reason for liking them is that they are very comfy to wear. Only 2 issues regarding comfort, they will make your ears hot after a while so you might need a 1 or 2 min break to cool off. Also, since they are closed back, meaning no air flow, the ANC might create a small nauseating effect. This usually goes away after a while but a lot of people experience this. You cant change how your body reacts so I will suggest try this for the trial and if your body can tolerate ANC then you can decide to keep these or get the Sony.

The mic is good for calls in a quiet room but not in a loud environment.
