Decent Review on Rtings especially when compared to the newer Odyssey G9

Anyone wanna trade some Dell 49"(s) for these? :D

Got this monitor in October last year for $1,519.05 at OW. Returned it though because it had some issue with the monitor. When I was dealing with Samsung directly the situation dragged out a few weeks. Bought a dell 49" instead for the similar price and loved the dell 49 ver more.

    $1,519.05 via the EDU store

  • Been waiting to see if the G9 to drop! Reviews have been mixed…

This one is $1519 via the Westpac offer too - if you bank with them.

  • Bought this monitor at the start of 2020 from a deal posted here but for 1999$ which was a deal back then! Using the monitor as we speak. Absolutely no problems and would highly recommend it.

    • Agreed. Mine has been flawless since I got it. Really enjoy having it and generally running 4 or 5 A4 sized windows on the screen.

  • I also have this monitor. Please don't buy Samsung. Mine developed a bright green line of stuck pixels right down the middle of the screen a few months out of warranty. Samsung didn't want to know about it and did everything in there power to ignore the issue. I am still stuck with this piece of crap. Certainly not the first time i've had a Samsung die on me.

    • If it's under 2 years old, you can get it repaired or replaced.

  • I have owned this monitor for some time. I wish it were more curved like the g9, but apparently the G9 can't be mounted on a monitor arm so there are tradeoffs.

  • bought this from ebay at $1,601 after applied a coupon. This post is a good deal. Recommend this monitor.

  • Also noted that it is $1519.05 on Samsung Education Store. Not sure if it can stack with the $50 coupon but it is a good deal.

  • I also have this monitor and it's generally great. I play lots of COD warzone on it and it is great for that. I know it's kinda like having two 2560x1440 16:9 monitors side by side, but feels like it would be WAY better if it was 2 x* 2560 x 1600 16:10 kind of deals. Fells like it could use a little bit more horizontal resolution. Gaming was a little weird for the first week but I did get used to it after that. Some games break when it comes to UI. There is a way to trick it into being just one smaller monitor or two different size monitors, side by side, which i used in the first month but then stopped.

  • How does it compare to the Philips 49in OfficePro 5K?
