I had to read this email twice for it to fully sink in. Seems ABB are finally rewarding their existing customers.

The promo is limited to customers that have been with ABB for greater than 6 months. Source

You can't get 250/25 or 1000/50 on FTTN.

      • Oh? My connection comes through the TV antenna thing.

That is HFC. Not all HFC premises can do 1000/50 until nbn do more upgrades over the next few months.

  • edit: done

  • I'm on 25/10 with fastest speed available being 71mbps. Are nbn upgrading FTTN or something? How do so many people have such great access to high speed? I can't even imagine 1000mbps

    • nbn are giving around 2 million premises on FTTN the option to upgrade to FTTP. Check this list. 900k more premises will be added to the list late this year. If your area doesn't make the list you can pay upfront for FTTP. There already is over 1 million premises with FTTP and 2.5 million premises with HFC.

      • Damn, not on the list

I've been with ABB for over 2 years on a 50/20 connection for $79 per month. On their website it says they have an offer for 100/20 for $79 for 6 months. Called to see if I can get on that offer, they said its only for new customers even though it doesn't say it on the offer on their website. Existing loyal customers get shafted again. Asked if he could do anything to keep me as a customer, he said nup and to check my emails for exciting offers that may or may not arrive. Off to Mate or Superloop for me

I agree, they don't give a toss about existing customers so I reckon I'll move to another soon.

Looks like I’ll be going as well.

I've just finished the call with Aussie Broadband and just to confirm that this company doesn't care or give a sh*t about retaining their existing customers. I'm trying to support an OZ business during this hard time but it's so obvious that they just treat their customers like a fool. I'm gonna switch too…

    • My experience has been nothing but positive in 2 different suburbs of Sydney.

  • I called them about getting on this but was informed that it ended in July.
