    mmmm…Not a massive discount.

Staticice shows PCCG and MSY sells the PC RAM for $21.

EDIT: but i bought 2 sticks anyway coz i cbf going down to my local MSY ;)

  • exactly when I need it. Thanks !

  • .

  • Is it $2 postage australia wide? Is it a flat postage rate as in $2 per order or per stick ordered?

  • -2

geez ur laptops r expensive.. Perth ppl must be dumb

  • I added a KVR1333D3S9/4G to my cart, went to checkout and was asked to register. Upon which my cart contents was deleted. Why?

    • +1

This happened to me. Just login and add the contents again

Also add a landline number if you haven't already to your contact details or it'll ask you to correct the details and again remove the contents of the cart. Freaking annoying.

  • How about 8gb ddr3 sodimms ?

  • +1

It's $2 per order - I just ordered two sticks - charged only $2 for both for delivery. Thanks Net Plus

  • +4

Sorry but how is this a bargain when MSY sells this for just a dollar more? Or a dollar less when you factor in postage…If i'm going to upgrade my computer, I wouldnt just update with a ram stick i'd still need to go to MSY anyway for other parts

    • +1

I agree in part. Not a bargain unless your regional really. I can get it $1 cheaper by walking up the road to MSY

    • +3

it is a bargain if you are considering the huge amount of time that has been saved. (assume we get paid $30/per hour)

      • +2

$30/hour!? Lucky for some, "Mr Trump".

        • hmm that's not the point :)
Btw I am not getting $30/per hour

    • For the SoDIMM, they are $28 - so we are 28% cheaper, plus the cheap freight.

      • +1

could you do a better discount for the longDIMM?

      • +1

The SoDimm's can be had elsewhere for $21-22. Not that much of a deal, unless you're a fair way away from the standard computer stores.

        • +1

Dont kid yourself emeraldpiggy. Unless you actually go get them while you are meant to be working and getting paid then you're not getting 30/hr, Just being lazy.

  • -3

Seems to be $28.00 at checkout :S

    • type in the promocode and it will change the price from 28 to 20 showing a saving of 8. When you select delivery there is a option from promotion delivery. Have that selected.

    • -1

      Umm try $28 + postage.

      Fail.
      giggles

  • +2

ajs900 - make sure you type in the code/s - see above - at checkout and you will see the discount applied to your order. I got two for $42 delivered.

NetPlus, I am unable to find your Privacy Policy (for registered users). Can you please show the URL?

    • Agree. Even though this is good deal (on just RAM) I'm a bit hesitant to purchase unless I know that my details will be kept confidential.

      • +1

We are bound by and adhere to the Australian Privacy Act as per http://www.privacy.gov.au/index.php

      • We are bound by and adhere to the Australian Privacy Act

The site says, "If your business is covered by the Privacy Act, you need to comply with the National Privacy Principle …" - where do you say (on your site) that you're covered?

Generally, it's amazing that people are willing to sign up without knowing what the company will do with their details just to save a few bucks. Privacy is far more valuable and that all sorts of companies willingly subsidise discounts or give away freebies in order to obtain personally identifiable information.

I have visited this shop in person many times over the years. They are decent, patient and respectful, unlike certain "cheap" technology shops who adopt an "we-are-the-cheapest-so-put-up-with-it" attitude. My subjective opinion is that you need not worry.

        • They are decent, patient and respectful …

So, what's impeding them from publishing a Privacy Policy? Should be easy, right?

One quick question. I have latest model of Mac mini. Can I use this ram to upgrade mine?

  • Could someone help with a question please before I consider buying this please?

Would these replace my existing ones which are "- 3072 MB (2048+ 1024) DDR RAM (800MHz)" ??

    Thanks in advance

    • +1

Sounds like you've got ddr2, so I'd say no.

      • EDIT:

      • +2

        Thanks for your help mate.
        I think it is a ddr2 from memory…

        • Unintentionally puntastic?

        • he put 3 dots after "memory", so probably intentional.

  • love it, + !!

  • Cheers just grabbed one.

  • Hi NetPlus,

  • Can anyone tell me if this is suitable for HP Microserver?

Excuse the newb question… Im not a computer buff but I need more ram for my server.

    • Yes it is. I just bought two for it

  • can you mix different types of ram? My laptop has a 4gb samsung pc3 10600s? will it work with the (KVR1333D3S9/4G)

    • yes, most of the time it shouldn't be a problem.

    • they are same….10600s = 1333

some people have old macbook or pro, they use ddr3 1066, if u fix in two ddr3 1333, it won't works, but one 800 and one 1333, it works. You have to use a software which called "SPD_tool“ to modify SPD into 800 or 1066

  • great deal just bought 3

  • Would this work in my HP Microserver?

  • Im a tecnonoob at these things, would this work with an acer aspire 5710 ? My Sisters laptop desperately needs a RAM upgrade.

    The spec sheet says :
"RAM / Max RAM Up to 2 GB of DDR2 667 MHz memory, upgradeable to 4 GB3 using two soDIMM modules (dual-channel support)""

Would the newer ram chips work (even if it wasnt being used to its full potential) ?

    • These won't work as they're DDR3 and your sister's laptop takes DDR2. The two have different number of pins so they are physically incompatible.

      • Ahwww, sucks. Thanks for the info, an Upvote to you !

  • Very annoyed with netplus. I purchased these 4x4gb for $28 each today. I spotted they were $24 yesterday so they had already gone up.

I asked the guy if there was going to be anymore deals coming he said NO.

I purchased about 12pm 2pm this deal starts. Not good enough. Will you refund the difference ????????

    • YEP!! see my comment above

    • Maybe that guy didn't know. If he did, then that is pretty bad.

  • Good amount of RAM for your BUCK. :P

For those mentioning the MSY deal, would brands like; Strontium, Hynix, EVM, A-Data, PQI, be as good as Kingston?

Also, i've got a small Samsung laptop which has a max of 6gb of ram, because 2gb of it is soldered to the motherboard (to enable 3 second sleep startup). Would 2gb+4gb be better than 2gb+2gb (current setup), considering dual channel funtionality?

  • Thanks again Netplus. This will be good for a friend who is trying to build a new pc.

  • Typed in 4G-DESKTOP at checkout and got a message

"This code does not apply to items in your cart."

Presumably the offer has expired. :(

    • Maybe your cart was empty?

      • My bad - I had SoDimm in the cart and used the desktop promo code. Doh

Interesting calculation anomaly - the cart showed a paypal surcharge of $0.96, but it changed to $1.01 on the paypal screen. It seems the paypal surcharge calculated by the cart does not include shipping.

  • +1

Bah, Paypal and credit card surcharge, shame. Does that mean DD is the way to go?

    • Walk into the store is another option.

  • Sadly i am in Sydney :). I guess its not much of a surcharge but more the principle?

    • Walking is good for you.

      • +1

Well considering its in perth and i am in sydney…..

        • OK.

  • +2

    A very timely deal.
I also spotted an MB and CPU was cheaper at this shop and when I purchased the memory and applied the promo then the $2 shipping also applied to the whole order.

  • when are these being posted??? nothing more disappointing than having a good deal but having to wait 3 weeks…. if it's not going out by end of the week, i'd rather just walk into bricks and mortar elsewhere…

    • I emailed them this morning to ask when my order will be posted.
      Nada to date

      • We are nearly through processing the orders now - will start shipping early next week - depending on how early your order came through to us.

        • +1

Any update? I'm still waiting for mine to get shipped.

        • Same, I'm still waiting for mine to be shipped, bank transfer was made on 23rd, funds should have been received by 26th at the latest :|
No reply by the [email protected] email so far either

        • Same here too.

Made the bank transfer on the 22nd and… the order doesn't even appear on my order history list…

        • I'm still waiting for mine to be shipped as well. This is ridiculous.

        • @Finde
go email the [email protected] or try this one
          [email protected]
and request some help, mine arrived today after a reply on 1/03/12
Tracking info (auspost) says it was ready for dispatch on 29/02, lodged on 1/03, 05/03 is first attempted delivery
I'm happy with the cheap ram, didn't need it urgently but you should probs send them an email to chase it up :\

        • Just rang them up and was pretty happy with the service actually.

Asked for my order details, found it and gave me my shipping number over the phone.
The processing time is something to improve on though…
Ordered and paid by DD on the 22nd of February, the order wasn't processed until the 1st of March and wasn't dispatched until the following day.
Hopefully it gets here tomorrow (if AusPost's transit times are to be believed)….
