The high-quality guide bar and deep quenched chain greatly improve the wear resistance of the chain. The wooden teeth design enables the chain saw to achieve smooth and efficient cutting by stocking on the branches.

The sprocket cover and anti-splash baffle can prevent the sawdust from splashing and scratching your skin. The baffle can rotate freely at an angle over 90° that will not hinder the cutting work.

★ Portable and Lightweight
This mini cordless chainsaw is weighed 2.8lbs. The non-slip handle design is ergonomic for adults even females to operate and control efficiently and feel less fatigue after long-time use. The compact design allows precise cutting in limited spaces, which is portable for users to cut branches or shape woods in the utility room or backyard.

There is no need to worry about assembly problems, as it is fully assembled before packed and does not require any further installation. You can even rotate the screw with your hands to adjust the tightness of the saw chain. Attach the lithium-ion battery, you are ready to use this electric chainsaw after the safety lock is pushed.

  • Are these compatible with other batteries/brands?

    • It doesn't appear to be a Makita or Dewalt style battery…

    • -8

      Compatible.

      • Compatible with what?

      • -6

        Compatible with other batteries

        • +4

Which ones specifically? they're all different… It certainly doesn't appear to be the same as Dewalt or Makita, which are totally different to each other and not compatible with each other…

          • @FLICKIT: Looks like Worx compatible.
            Disclaimer: Maybe.

@Yummy: Not gonna risk it with such an evasive rep at the helm…

The photo up the top of the page the battery doesn't look to be Makita,

My best guess is that this is a cheap clone of a cheap chinese saw, lol

What is this? A chainsaw for ants???

    • +4

      It's for Leafcutter Ants

        Well played, sir.

    • I have a Makita knockoff, it's a toy but it doesn't do a bad job for one handed tree pruning, it hacks through 50mm gum branches with no issues.. I have a lot of trees under power lines that I hack the tops out of a couple of times per year, this little saw is handy to wander around with… It seems to use a heap of power though, if you try cutting stuff too big the over current protection on my 5AH Dewalt batteries kicks in, that only happens on my Dewalt chainsaw if the battery is flat…

  • is this as strong as normal petrol chainsaws

Not at all, lol, horses for courses…. These little things are really only for light pruning…

    The branded version
    https://m.stihl.com.au/STIHL-Products/Battery-Power-By-STIHL…

Was thinking about getting one but can't justify the cost..

    • The Stihl quick charge batteries are awesome though.

They do discharge fast (15-20 mins) but they will literally recharge in the same amount of time (20-25 mins).

If you have 2 there's virtually no downtime.

They charge like wounded bulls but they have some great designers.

Thats the upside to these cheap import models; usually they're just 18650's with nothing in there (no protection circuitry)

im able to charge my mums on my hobby charger at 1.1C, meaning its done in an hour.

Not quite as quick as what you've described, but easily quick enough for common use.

        • I think you've pretty much sold me on getting one of the ebay knock offs.

$60-70 and I can give it to Mum for trimming.

          • @Telios: Yeah, I bought one with a rear chain guard, so even if she drops it, it'll nick her at most, won't start sawing through her wrist.

Considering she needed SOME SORT of power tool to trim things in the yard, there was no escaping that, I'm convinced this is one of the safer options.

        • I bought a similar one without batteries or a charger as they are compatible with Makita batteries.

A cheap tool does not justify using expansive batteries, so I made an adapter to use ALDI batteries.

Also, a new chain costs about $6 each on eBay, just replace it after a year.

  • What a cute little guy!

    the battery will explode

  • That’s legit Random Chinese knockoff stuff..

Not ryobi one if anyone else was fooled

  • What is the ryobi one+ equivalent for this? The bypass pruner?

  • +1

These things are rubbish. If you're going to get something like this, get the Stihl. Even then, I think it's an overrated tool

Personally, for pruning, I use a Milwaukee Sawzall reciprocating saw with a Diablo pruning blade. An excellent one-handed option and you don't have to worry about sharpening the chain, bar oil etc. With the correct blades, the saw can be used to cut metal, plastic and wood - a much more practical tool.

Decent blades like Diablo can be expensive in Australia but can be bought on Amazon as a US import for less than half the price.

One thing that was drummed into me from my first day as an apprentice electrician - use the right tool for the job.

      Agree 100%.
Reciprocating saw can do everything this can when it comes to pruning and more.

    • +3

      Right tool for right job.
My mums on a few acres and needs to chop branches and prune things very often.

Jigsaw style saws risk jolting her if they grab; she's too old for that not to do damage.

Shes had one of these little guys for almost a year now; just an ebay one.

But it is a freaking champ; chops through our bamboo thicket, palm fronds, and fallen gum branches without even breaking a sweat.

We paid $65, with 2 batteries, and 2 chains. Havent even worn out 1 'pair' yet.

Considering it gets weekly use, we've been impressed.

      • I agree. used a reciprocating saw before, but this kind of thing is way smoother to hold

    • Which blade would you suggest? I use a reciprocating saw but it’s no good on the thicker stuff

    • Any links to a good blade

  • Look rubbish stuff. Non Australian base. No ABN or fixed address.

  • +1

Not sure about the shop, but I have a similar 4" 18v chainsaw, great for cutting branches. Ideal for cutting big branch for grafting.

    • Ladies and gentlemen,

It took us a while, but we have an upvote!

      Many thanks @fatice…
