  • Anyone know if 100/40Mbps on Vocus would be as good as 50/20 on SL?
will be the same price if i don't move plans.

  • Can you schedule the connection ?

  • Their pro rata is based on original price, ie $79, $90 instead of $50 and $69. It is not $50, $69 for the first 9 months as it states.

  • What do you mean by that?
The bill is $50/month for the first 9 months. Probably the cheapest around, just be weary of the fees and don't have a payment bounce.

  • do we have their cvc graphs? looking to churn away from flip nbn as having constant nbn dropouts with them - need to look to move to a non vocus nbn provider

    • Aqua is vocus. Speeds are good where I am though.

  • Anyone with Aqua Mobile NBN? Any feedbacks? How fast can they connect you?

    • +1

Yes I changed over, was good to go in around 2 or 3h. Speeds seem just as good as superloop

  • Are they using pppoe for HFC?

    • Had a look in my router settings, Mode =PPPoE
All same settings as ABB, Belong, tangerine, superloop

  • There are rumours on Whirlpool of Aqua passing on contact details to other companies, which is also listed in their Privacy Policy.

Has anyone that's signed up received more telemarketing calls or SPAM?

    • Not sure about that, hopefully not. The sign up process was all manual over the phone, bit strange when you're used to online secure pages handing over details and credit card info. Connection is fine and speeds are good so benefit of the doubt and worth it for the intro deal period.

      • Did you have to give your drivers licence number?

        • +1

yes. They wanted next of Kin or name a friend/relative, probably so you don't do a runner if default on a payment (noto that it's a lock in coonract. Found it a bit odd.

There was a data breach at a company I used to work for, spoke to someone at Equifax and they reckon D/L is a harder form of ID for identity theft. Wasn't about to get a new passport and everything, but makes ya think doesn't it..

          • @G-rig: Cheers. Will definitely be steering clear!

            • @Chuppa: Fair enough, just assumed it's a bare bones operation with no fancy websites and overheads.
Pretty sure people can get your information if they wanted to , or have already anyway.
