Received an email advising Jing Pro is being discontinued in 2013, and here's the alternative.

Snagit is good but if you want a free one I suggest Greenshot.
I love how they're like, oh it doesn't require a yearly subscription - but you have to pay each year if you want to keep up to date with the current version (you pay per major version).
what's wrong with the printscreen button on my keyboard ?
It only captures entire screens or application windows, not parts thereof. It also can't capture movies (I use it to create online tutorials on YouTube).
Nothing wrong with it, but for certain tasks SnagIt is better, faster, easier. e.g.
capture content of a web page in one picture when the content is longer than the page.
How much was the jing pro?
I suggest putting "Screen Capture software for Windows" (or similar) in the title to prevent people thinking what is Snagit and wasting their time finding out.
Personally, I use Snagit at work and it is great.
