Yeah. Asian docs actually perform wax removal when it block ear kernel. Some people need to get it done regularly.

Recommend going to a GP and getting it syringed or vacummed out after blocked.
This is incredibly dangerous and you only get one set of ears, don't risk it.

    • +1

I recommend don't do it. Or if you get syringed then make sure you monitor any infection that may occur and treat it quickly. Otherwise you may loose some hearing if infection is severe enough. Based on 2 people and myself had this experience. So not an evidence but example

    • I syringe my own, definitely way better then trying to scrape out a blocked ear.

      • Vacuumed out is better for the drum than syringe, but syringe once you've had a blocked one done, it's so good to hear properly again haha

This a standard price for this product… Don't be fooled by its "Normal price" of $15.99.

e.g. This 7-piece ear wax pick kit (Yes i know it has one less piece, so not directly comparable, but its $5.59)
    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B08CGFPF8C/ref=ppx_od_d…

  • $4.52 for 8pc delivered from China, plenty of similar for same price after discount locally as well.

Dr Karl said not to put anything smaller than your elbow in your ear.

    • +3

Dr Karl is correct. Increased risk of infection and trauma when putting things in ears unless under direct visualisation and done by a trained healthcare professional

  • oops - I was wrong
