"safe to flush"… Safe for what? Definitely not the sewerage system nor the environment.

    • +15

Not safe to flush. These caused an expensive plumbers visit to our place. Bloke showed me a big messy ball of them after he dug them out of our drain.
      Personal lifetime ban now.

You should sue the manufacturer for damages

        • +3

This was around the time they launched them and a little later they were causing 'fatbergs' in city drains.
I am amazed they are allowed to be sold. Maybe sponsored by the plumber's union

        • In the description it says commercial and regularly maintained sewer systems or something like that

Can confirm these flushable wipes are garbage.

Made to be "flushable" which also means they're not strong enough for your fingers to not poke through while wiping.

    • hmmm that's food for thought

  • +9

Pretty sure environmental boffins (and council infrastructure experts) have basically begged the world not to use these.

Your plumber, on the other hand, needs to keep up repayments on their yacht.

    Your choice, I guess.

  • +11

This is a bad and misleading product - they are only technically flushable (in that they will flush) but as so many others have noted, they mustn’t be flushed.

  • +3

Definitely NOT flushable !!! cost me $1,000 I can't understand why the councils , ACCC somebody has not had these banned. It is such common knowledge. I did complain to my local woolies but they still sell them

  • +5

    these should be banned

Been using these since I met my sub continent partner… amazing way to clean my pacha. No problems flushing

  • +1

If it aint toilet paper (or bodily outcomings) it aint flushable.

  • +1

$6 for the packet, $600 for the plumber.
Broyher-in-law is a plumber & said if you don't want to contribute to his new boat, them look for septic safe stuff before flushing.

  • +5

Flushable in the same way socks are flushable. Possible but not advisable.

  • +1

Just putting aside that this is a bad product, as others have clearly indicated. CamelCamelCamel shows the same price of $6.00 for a year.

Whilst the wipes should not be flushed this "bargain" should be.

  • +1

Do a favour for your pluming bill and DO NOT buy these.

  • +1

Never used one, never will. Rubbish.

  • -3

You Karen's know you don't have to flush these down the toilet right? You're not actually compelled to wipe your bum with them, they do have other uses.

    • +2

True. But they should not be labelled flushable
