      I've put together a few racks, currently a custom Gibraltar setup, it really helps to use a tape measure and spirit level when setting it up. It can save headaches down the track as the rack can twist easier if it's not square and level.

  • Can someone who received theirs tell me roughly how large and heavy the box is?
    DHL attempted delivery today but nobody was home so I might need to get it sent to a collection point, and this is the only weekend I don't have 'the big car'.

  • Mines all over the place, it was picked up on the 9th then went to heathrow then went to liepzig now frankfurt then I got an unexpected circumstances alert.

                    I got this from Amazon, I may receive a free drum.

                    "We’re very sorry your delivery is late. Most late packages arrive in a day. If you have not received your package by 25 October, you can come back here the next day for a refund."

                    • @superforever: I didn't read that as free drum kit - I just assumed it meant a refund and you wouldn't receive the drum kit. Hopefully I'm wrong (and hopefully you'll receive it soon).

                        What I mean is the drum already on it way from DHL may be stuck somewhere, even they refund me DHL still have the parcel with them to deliver to me.

                        I have the same before when ordered a SSD from Amazon and courier please didn't deliver it on time and no idea where the parcel is, after Amazon refunded me the parcel arrived after a day or two.

                        @RichardMelbourne: Amazon offered me a refund on a luthier file a couple of weeks ago even after I'd received it "because it's been delayed". I could have taken it, but hey, ethics.

                        I have had them offer refunds for genuinely lost parcels which was good (as per your example). I know they have a lot of stuff in transit, but their systems are breaking more these days, I've found.

                          Is there any chance they would send a replacement from Amazon Au stock or elsewhere? Called Tuesday and they said they'd look at a refund or replacement on Friday, I've had the same issue as @superforever, no updates to DHL and I called them and they said they haven't received the item yet.

                          Just really desperate for them before the end of November haha

                                      I've had no updates from DHL since the 12th October last location being Maidstone as above.

I wouldn’t say that you know of someone else getting it because they might not like that. I was just really polite and said it’s really slack that it took this long and then I get nothing but a refund. I mentioned how I had missed other sales because of the delay. The guy was very understanding.

                                                        @Master Bates: Definitely call; live chat were useless and never even got back to me. I called their support line for lost items and the guy was great, did it all straight away. Just be honest and tell them what’s happened and that it’s disappointing, especially as a prime member. I think the $200 voucher was a very reasonable result for me and from their perspective.

                                                              @DoogsDan: Update time: The drum kit is sitting next to me and Amazon refunded the ~$280 difference to buy it from Amazon AU. Now to set it up and start drumming!

                                                              More detail: It took a several phone calls with 2 different operators because their VOIP line kept cutting me off (mostly timed out whilst I was on hold). They initially tried to claim the best they could do was refund, but I pushed back and they agreed to the above. It was a little bit convoluted, they couldn't just refund the ~$280 it came in various guises (promo credit and refunds over several purchases) but the result was the same and I am happy for it.

    By the way - I was watching a YouTube video and the guy said he'd found a more detailed manual for this drum kit. Apparently, "the drum module was designed by a company called Medeli and is internally exactly like their DD512 module".

  • Mine still says “Shipping information received” by DHL (coming to Adelaide), but arriving today on Amazon.

    Contacted DHL and they said they haven’t received the item yet. Amazon UK said they can’t do anything about it, and Amazon Aus said I need to wait until Friday for them to do anything further as the estimated delivery date is today so they have to wait until it’s considered ‘late’ to help out.

    Is there anything I should request or do when they contact me again Friday? Been an absolute disaster considering it was ordered a month and a half ago, seems as if everyone else had updates despite delays but surely mine should’ve left the UK by now?

    Delivered!

    Got it setup tonight over a couple of hours and had a bash. Make sure you get a comfy stool with your kit. Time to learn how to count to 4.

  • Going to use the factory features for the first week or two, then going to see if I can hook the drum kit up to FL Studio and link it to EZDrummer and other drum MIDI / VSTs

      • Yeah I’m in the same boat. The guy said he’ll try to organise a refund or replacement Friday so I’m just gonna push for replacement stock if that’s possible.

              Issue me $10 credit and the chat end before I want to ask another question, chat again and ask about if possible to ship from AU and they said no and I said they only gave me $10 because of their mistake and I won't be able to order at that price again and the guy issue another $20 credit.

    For anyone who plugs in their headphones and thinks, wow - the sound is quiet and pretty crap (as I did) - here's the likely solution if you're using a headset with microphone. I found a comment on reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/edrums/comments/iuv2gz/alesis_nitro…) which said someone pulled the plug part way out and all of a sudden it sounded great. I grabbed my headphones/microphone splitter, tried that and sure enough it sounds great, now (and much louder). Phew!

    Hopefully this will help anyone with the same problem.
