Gigabyte Z590 D LGA 1200 Motherboard $159 Delivered @ MetroCom eBay

90

Looking for a cheap board for the coming i5-11600KF and found this. Seems to be the cheapest Z590 out there, cheaper than most B560 and H570!

The Z590 UD model is just $10 more, but got one more nvme slot and front usb-c port.

Also the Asus Z590-P CSM is good price @ $189, https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/255118779469

Still deciding between the UD and CSM, has anyone used any of them and what's your thoughts?

  • Need optical audio and more usb imho. Note you'll need a usb WiFi dongle or lan cable. Don't know why it's so hard to get optical audio on Intel without $$$. Intel mobos are such bad value.

I reckon Z590 UD is the easily pick of those 3 for the reasons you listed, plus an additional VRM heatsink and 2.5G LAN. Better VRM performance than the ASUS board too.

  • Looking for a decent mobo for AMD Ryzen 7 5600G… any recommendations guys?

    • may be this? I was looking for a MB for 5600x and found this, please check 5600g compatibility anyway. I think 5600g doesn't have pcie4 anyway.

if you haven't purchased a 5600g, I think getting a 5600x for same price ($399) would be better if you can manage a GPU

MSI B450M Mortar MAX is around $90 on Amazon. I would recommend it over any lower end B550 any day. Ryzen is probably moving to AM4 after this generation so there's no point 'future-proofing' by getting a low end board with poor VRM quality and features.

Not sure I'd buy anything Gigabyte at the moment……QC is a problem currently.

  • I recently pulled the trigger on some parts and I bought a Gigabyte Z590 UD AC for $189, I've had UD's most of my life and they are fine. This new one is largely untested, Although that Asus Mobo looks pretty good too in the cost and features department. If I was looking again that Asus would tempt me :)

  • Lol 2x PS/2. I haven't seen PS/2 mouse or keyboard for ages.

  • can they support 5 GPU?? anyone know?
