  • Would this be a worthy upgrade from a NetComm NF10WV?

    • Well you only have wireless N at the moment. I'd say it probably would Idk about this specific model but the AC standard will provide bandwidth improvements

  • Hrmm do need a wifi extender but the reviews are so bad. Anyone else used it before?

    • Don't know about that one but I have the netgear exs6190. It sells for $55 shipped on eBay. I find it very good to extend my 5 gHz signal from the middle of the house to my garage.

My download speed was 3 MB in my garage but with the extender it's 30 MB.

    • Don't bother with it. I bought one on Amazon a couple of months ago to use with my D-Link Cobra router and it was horrible. Starts off good with decent speeds but quickly starts random disconnects and speed drops after a couple of days. I ended up returning within the 30 day window.

  • Is it VoIP? as in, FTTP home line capable?

    • No built-in VoIP capabilities. Who provides your VoIP service?

      • Would be Aussie Broadband.

        • You have two choices.

          1. Purchase a new IP phone handset.
          2. Ask Aussie BB to sell you an ATA.
