      It will work on Voda but will not use the 850mhz for 3G (Its not NextG or Voda 850)

      This won't connect to nextG. It doesn't support nextG frequency. Can only be used on Optus/Vodaphone.

    Bought this last time they had it. Posting from it now. Works great on VF network. Live on the gold coast. Some dead spots in areas where telstra only works. Replaced my desire hd with this :-) wouldn't go back

      Most likely old pre-mango stock. You install the Zune PC Client software (a better version of iTunes in the eyes of most users). Connect your handset via USB and check for updates. You will be prompted to step through a device backup, then probably 2-3 updates will be applied consecutively to get the device up to date - OS version 8107.

      Allow about 30m-45m after you setup the device. Also, it's best to have a hotmail or Windows Live ID to help setup the phone (then link Xbox etc).

        Although I haven't tried this personally, I do remember seeing it somewhere on WP's official webpage saying that all updates are cumulative, i.e., even if the phone is on the very first stock OS version when WP came out in 2010, it only requires one update in Zune to bring it up to date. Let me know if I'm wrong.

        Anyways, good effort Sheeds for promoting WP, although this coincides with COTD's deal so people get a bit 'excited'…

        On a sidenote, I'm with some other guys in that I now only wait for the Lumia 900, and F*** YOU NOKIA for your pos Lumia 800 pricing!!!

          Whilst the updates are cumulative, they are not neccessarily all rolled into one. Since the Mango WP7.5 update, there has been a Tethering update for most devices, and 2 bugfixes 7740 and 8107. My Telstra based handset received 7740 update, then straight away launched the 8107 update once Telstra approved them (x2 back-to-back updates, not the 1).

    Have had this phone since February last year, and it really hasn't had any problems at all. I have dropped it god knows how many times and it is still alive and kicking. It has been in saunas (I know stupid but when you want to listen to music you don't have a choice lol), the beach, and had a bit of water splashed on it. The software just works. The only real negatives are that you can't expand the storage with an sd card and that it doesn't have skype integrated despite microsoft owning it. Still any questions not that there will be any but I am happy to answer them.

      Are you satisfied with the app choices at the moment? Are there many that you wish were available? Viber seems like the one I'd most want - its supposed to be coming soon.
      I am currently reading reviews on this and umming and ahhing. I am pretty happy with Android at the moment but sorta curious to give Windows a go…

      It has Bing Maps - With GPS location (visible on map).
      Local Scout can offer directions for trips etc via Maps. BUT
      NO turn-by-turn navigation.

    Got the email last night at 11:15 PM
    It says the deal runs for 24hrs, okay.

    Went to the site and bought it, after checking out it said "Error 05 Do Not Honour"
    My card was charged, nothing came up in the site order history.

    Sent an email to support.

    Got this reply:

    Great phone for a fantastic price, too bad you can't actually get it.
    I'm going to keep trying to get to the page before 11pm but I don't have an iPhone or iPod touch so don't think i'll be able to =(

    Don't understand why they couldn't just create an order for my account instead of refunding me, ridiculous.

    This is my first time dealing with the site & it seems very dodgy, would not recommend buying anything from them.
