Hi everyone, first post here. I believe this is a good deal. In theory you could add a GPU down the track when it's cheaper. I'm thinking of purchasing it myself.

    P.s. price in title boy!

    • Will do!

the CPU cost 57%, while it is just about 10 grams out of the 10 kg bundle.
Great unit value on the CPU!

  • Please correct me if I am wrong

    Derp.

  • Lol what

5600G is certainly quite capable for an APU alone, but this would seriously benefit using dual channel RAM instead of the single channel configuration in this listing. Other than that seems like a relatively good entry level PC for someone who doesn't play demanding titles or care too much about visual quality.

699-508=$191, The motherboard, case and PSU are $191?????

    • You forget the labour for assembly.

      • +1

no glass case, no cable management required. no GPU, water cooler as well. $50 assembly fee should be fine.
$141 for this motherboard and case still too much. and the link shows original price is $849

        • Indeed.

  • +16

Yeah, not really a good deal.
    Thanks for trying OP.
Don't get discouraged by the negative comments

Changed the description to be more in line with a sale post and not a forum!

    • +6

Consider changing the title to something like

      AMD R5 5600G 4.4GHz | 8GB | 240GB | No OS | $699 + Delivery @ PCByte

I'll revoke my downvote but please OP try to format like every other deal you see on this site. We'll leave the questionable value debate at the door

(Lol to the people who negged me for helping why don't you do anything)

      Changed the description

      Read the posting rules…

      Titles should state:-
      Product model.
      Price.
      Shipping cost.
      Company/merchant.
      Location.

      • +3

        I'll update it now, thanks.
You didn't actually buy it accidentally did you?

  • Once you factor in a decent video card, you'll want to upgrade that PSU to something around 750W, so this is not really what you want if you want to go that route.

Plus, not including an OS is just stupid when you could get a much better deal for the same price elsewhere. The brands they use aren't as reliable as well named brands, which will save them money so take that with a grain of salt as well.

It's a bit steep referring to this as a "gaming PC"

I mean, sure, if you want to play minesweeper

    • +4

I mean, sure, if you want to play minesweeper

      Don't knock minesweeper…

      • "What happens when the timer reaches zero?"

        "Nothing. You just suck."

    • +2

Is there an alternative in that price range that you'd recommend then?

    • +5

Do your research before posting, it can actually run many games @ 1080p with low settings.

      Invalid neg.

      • Can't do much with 8gbs of single channel memory

    • I played through star wars fallen order at 1080p on my old 3400g, had bad slow downs at times but was perfectly playable

    Hi OP,

Please don't be disheartened if you do future posts.

Just take the above comments as constructive criticism :)

I reckon if you have jv on your posting your an automatic winner .

Cheers, I'm not to hung over the neg responses

  • Is a 5600G a bit overkill for an office PC? Just wondering

    • +2

Probably. My angle is that I want it for uni and casual gaming (without a GPU) then when prices aren't crazy, I'd grab a gpu. As others mentioned though, the no-name parts are of a little concern

  • will this be able to upgrade to windows 11?

I'm after a good office PC. Is this worth a look at all?

    This comment section is wild..

  • 1x Besta B28 Mid Tower ATX Case with 550W PSU

That's 550 Besta watts. Divide by 2 and you'll get closer to the real number.

    • Genuinely had a chuckle at that…

      • besta is da worsta

  • would definitely get a better quality power supply if it was me
