OzReminder for those who may not be familiar with this hack. Thank you for the original post Ulysses31. Here are some steps to setup a Turkish or Argentinian Netflix account to save $$$. Results may vary so it's best to read up, there are plenty of comments below and members happy to help. Unfortunately, it may not work for everyone so please keep that in mind.

Step 1: Please understand that following all these steps may not work for you

There is no need for aggression in instances where you are unable to subscribe to an international Netflix account. Share your experience so everyone can chip in and help out. There are plenty of examples where hacks shared on this platform do not work for some people, but may work for others:
* Modem reset for faster internet,
* Cash back program purchase tracking,
* Price matching an unobtainable deal or price error,
* Targeted bargains, and

    Just wanted to say that doing the following worked for me, in case it helps anyone else:
    1. Let AU subscription lapse, payment was via ING Debit
    2. Nord VPN to Turkey
    3. New private browser in Chrome. Typed netflix.com which routed me to the Turkish site.
    4. Re-activated plan with existing payment method and no phone verification. Worked fine, debited $5.XX today.

          Finally get the payment setup by using the Live Chat with the Help Center.

          Didn't use VPN for the Live Chat.

          They give me an online secure form to fill-in my Revolut Virtual VISA Debit card.

          I cannot use that same card when keying in the same info for the Backup Payment Method in the Account of Netflix since I started my services using Gift Card.

    Anyone manage to switch over from Argentina subscription to Turkey?
    I have tried multiple credit cards it does not work. The one saved on file does not work, have my phone number saved as well. Thinking of buying TL gift card, dont want to be stuck with it, if it does not work.

    My account is inactive and I can't renew it on Turkey Netflix without a payment processing error. When I spoke to two Netflix reps and mentioned "the form", they said my account needs to be active first for them to send it (I don't understand the logic but whatever). So, my question is, is this true? Does my account need to be active in order to get sent the form?

      They told me the same, I told them I wanted to renew my subscription and then they understood. They sent me the link to update payment details. I told them the linked didn't work and I wanted the "form", they said they couldn't do it. You can keep trying, get a different operator and see if they give you the "form". Or you buy a GC which worked for me.

    After multiple attempts i managed to switch from Netflix Argentina to Turkey
    Waited for the current account to lapse, cancel subscription
    Have added my phone number and Bankwest Platinum card on file prior.
    Used Windscribe to VPN to Turkey.
    Bought a 100TL on G2A card used it as payment.
    All attempts to pay using the Bankwest card failed which is why i used the gift card method
    Now I m wondering if the credit finishes, will it automatically switch to the Bankwest card that is saved?
    Any thoughts?

        Quite similar to mine, although my account is an old account. My credit card was added prior to cancelling the subscription not using the form.

          Gift card first - still has some balance as shown in my post.
          GE Money/Latitude credit card.
          Card was added by Netflix support via online chat and a bit of to and fro but all in all pretty painless.

    FFS trying getflix, changing the IP settings to static and entering the two closes AU DNS servers doesn't allow to 'save' the wifi settings.

      It's a prick of a thing, tried it on windows, assume you need the app too.. is it the vpn app, VPN over dns or something else.

      Pia VPN for Android was much easier but seemed dodgy and disappeared or they renamed the app after a while.

      Does the getflix only work on wifi at home or something?

      Bloody cluster.. downloaded the getflix VPN app for Android can't even log in with the VPN- username..

      None worked for me. Got on chat and after two attempts got a nice bloke who processed a back up payment manually. Ask for the secure form method which pops up on the chat and you fill in your cc details. Don't fall for the email link, as you end up at the beginning of the problem again.

    I got mine working. started with the gift card method via g2a first then went to my iphone months later. VPN to Turkey then add my 28 degree card using the safari browser. Didn't work on the computer with Windscribe VPN on Edge browser. No SMS verification needed.

    2. Created a gmail account for their Netflix
    3. Bought a GC from https://www.g2a.com/ using Paypal
    4. Signed up to Netflix and used the GC

    No issues changing from Aus to Turkey here;

    1. Email and payment verified in NF AU already using ING Debit Card (VISA symbol).
    2. Cancelled my existing membership and let it lapse (didn't log out of NF).
    3. On NordVPN desktop app (Windows) i selected Turkish server.
    4. Opened Chrome browser followed by an Incognito tab.
    5. Went to the NF website via Google search and it opened me to the Turkish NF landing page.
    6. Logged in through there and was presented with Turkish pricing tiers to restart membership.
    7. Selected top tier aka UltraHD and was charged $4.75 AUD based on current exchange rate (ING rebate international transaction fees also). Asked me to define who was watching, interests etc after payment screen but didn't touch as it still had existing profiles etc.
    8. Closed Chrome browser and then turned off NordVPN.
    9. Opened Chrome, went to NF and was back in on the AUS site as normal. Plan details shows the plan as the Turkish one paid for on Aus CC.
    10. Bob's your uncle, or your Aunt. I don't know your family.

    Just got this done with Windscribe VPN

    new account with a email they don't know. Got prompted for a phone number, tried just logging in on another tab but was forced to provide turkish number. Ended up using "sms-activate.org" its not free but only a dollar or two. If you use that site the trick is to press the tick to the left of your phone number BEFORE you get netflix to send the code.

    All good now and seems fine, my 28degrees is now paying for Youtube through Argentina and Netflix through Turkey Haha.

      Hi I'm trying to use that website too, could you clarify what you mean by the tick thing?
      I pressed the shopping basket next to the Netflix Turkey selection and the website takes you straight to the activation page with a number that's 'waiting'. Is the number active at this point or were there more steps? When I try to use the number I keep getting an error on Netflix's page that it can't be processed right now, then after the mobile number expires the credit is refunded.

        Not sure about the error on Netflix's page. They may be cracking down on this.
        For the turkey phone number on that website you get the credit, ask for the number from Turkey then you have a page showing the number however it's not activated until you tick the thing to the left of the number, if ask Netflix to send through the code before ticking it and starting the timer it will not get delivered to you. So start the timer then send the code and it'll be open to receive it.

    Existing account, cancelled and let it lapse
    1. Used Windscribe VPN (free account)
    2. Validated on whatismyip.com
    3. Logged into Netflix in Incognito (not sure if necessary?)
    4. Clicked on 'Change Email's to trigger the MFA, had it text a code to my existing AU mobile, then cancel out of the email edit page
    5. Restarted membership and used UBank Visa Debit card to pay.

    Success!

            I said i have a Windscribe account, of course i used it to go to Turkey. I also said i don't want to use a GC as i'd have to change it back to either my AMEX or HSBC Visa and they're both blocked by NF TR. Confirmed this by trying to sign up with a new account as an option and it kept rejecting both cards.

            I don't want to keep buying GCs if that's the last resort.

    The only method that works for me when creating a new account is buying a gift card. It looks like they are checking if the card is from Australia and prevents it from being added when your account is from Turkey.

    I also tried with an expired Netflix sub and with a debit card payment method. Once I reactivate my subscription using a VPN, I got something like your payment method is not valid, please provide a new one. I entered Aussie based cards and none worked.

        Just a quick question - would the digital Wise card work with the mionthly subscription with Netflix? I just created a new WISE account and the physical card takes a few days to be delivered to me.

          I just set up with wise digital works fine for me on monthly. I keep AUD and EUR in my wise account and it should in theory take payment from the one with the best exchange rate at the time.
