    How about "no deal".

The page does not have any information about the product and the manufacturer.

    • +2

Packed in Australia from Imported ingredients from china. where else can they be from, we dont have technological knowhow to make a mask lol, pathetic isn't it?

there was this manufacturer in VIC where Army personnel went and helped make mask during height of pandemic. if i can find their makes i would buy in a heart beat.all we do is buying poor quality stuff from overseas.

      • +2

        Medcon masks made in Shepparton.

        • Yup thats the one.

  • +5

Lol the stupidity that thinks you will get a 2 year old to wear a mask for longer than 10 seconds.

    • 2 year old nope, 3 year old.. my 3 year old turned 3 a month ago and asked me to wear a mask 'please i wear it?' … wanted to wear his sister's mask, guess he wanted to fit in at chemist warehouse and aldi, but it lasted maybe 10 minutes max.

    • +2

Lol the stupidity that thinks you will get a 2 year old to wear a mask for longer than 10 seconds.

Mandatory in VIC from grade 3 upwards to wear masks at school…

If they take their masks off, Dan will fine them $200…

      • -5

Tomorrow morning my smart neighbor will tell me "did you see Dan got fined for not wearing a mask?" and id be thinking in my head, you dumb ass that's just a publicity stunt to create fear in your head.went for a run today with my son riding his bike, stopped over at a park and no one is wearing a mask lol. no wonder Dan created a story to compel people to abide by the mask rule.

        • +2

and no one is wearing a mask lol.

          $200 fine each.

          • @jv: massive windfall for government coffers then

      • A mandate is not law tho

        • +1

In this case, it is law in VIC.

          • -1

@jv: Nope as it’s been proven

            • @Dex38313:

              it’s been proven

No it hasn't, it starts in 3 weeks.

Have are read through The Essential Services Act 1958 (Vic)…

      • I dont think you will find many 2 year olds in grade 3 though.

    • +2

My 2 year old went for check up few months ago at the gp, was fine wearing it. They are seeing adults wearing it so they want it too. But everyone is different.

    • -1

Seen lots of Asian children do this

      • -2

        lol thats a bit racist

        • Do you mean against westerners¿

    • Funny how you're being downvoted. I'm gonna assume the people downvoting you have no children under the age of 8 who refuse/don't understand the need to wear a face mask… literally pulling health advice out of their as* at this point, oh this might work, let's enforce it, oh someone else did this so we should to, our "chief health officer" the King of just doing what someone else does

    • -4

you are spot on its a joke, at one point some idiots said lets vaccinate all children over 5, get fkd i aint giving covid vaccine to my 5 year old son lol

  • -3

    Madness

  • -1

Might be good for people going to America for Xmas. TSA requires everyone over 2yo to wear a mask on planes.

No way my kids would do it though

  • How much are these normally?

  • -4

If Grade 1s can't be trusted to be wearing the right jacket and hat at the end of the school day, or not to chew another kids pencil, do we really want the risk of them finishing the day accidentally wearing another kids mask? Anyway, they'll take them off to eat, drink and run around.
Masks for kids under 8 are probably more of a virus transmission risk than not wearing anything and teaching them to wash their hands properly.

    • -1

      Barking up the wrong tree

    • Masks for kids under 8 are probably more of a virus transmission risk than not wearing anything

      Not really…

      • Did you get the chicken masks JV?

    • don't want the kids end up in ICU, do you ? Masks help to avoid such situations

      • +1

No kid has ever ended up in ICU, if you have a link to one please let us know, otherwise stop talking sh*t and being a sheep

        • +1
          • @Bafranz: I do, and I stand corrected. But it also says there is no mention if the baby had underlying health conditions… while they may not, if a child under 1 is in ICU I would suspect they do, and would be the same if the child caught the flu. Im not a monster if the child is in ICU ots very sad, but would a mask have stopped this, the answer is no…

            • @Iwantthebestprice: Yeah, so far the rate of childhood and adolescent hospitalisation is low at around 2% (abc news) so looks like 98% is adults so you're on the right track.. hopefully we get to the other side of this sooner rather than later

              • +1

@Bafranz: I agree, everyone wants to be on the other side. People I work with they refuse to come to work with people who refuse to get vaxxed and I agree with them, anyone over 18 by now should have atleast 1 dose, and if not they are being selfish, but the way this is starting to affect kids life, I.e playgrounds closed, no school for almost a year, it starts to draw a line that's all. On that note, anyone over 18 get vaccinated and stop being selfish!!

          • +1

@Bafranz: I'm not saying covid is less then the flu, we all know it is, much worst.. but if parents and grandparents are vaxxed this seems like overreach.. im all for vaxxed, myself, my partner, parents etc all double vaxxed but inflicting this on kids who are trying to live I see as cruel, I may be wrong

          • @Bafranz: Well it doesn't say if the baby is premature or if the baby has any other conditions, its not full story, mainstream media doesn't do tell all

Lets vaccinate newborns then shall we?

            • @sammyla: It can wait until their 60 day old vaccinations or 4 month old immunisations.. no rush

              • -2

@Bafranz: you must be kidding right? Adults get fever backpains chills headaechs after vaccinations and you want the newborn to go through that? do you know fever is very dangerous for a newborn? chances are they may die from such vaccine.i find it hard to believe that you even suggest something like that.
I wouldnt even think about that for my kids, they can have the regular vaccines not this crap.

                • +4

                  @sammyla:

fever backpains chills headaechs after vaccinations

they can have the regular vaccines not this crap

Want to go look up the side effects of those 'regular' vaccines?
Hey you will find similar for MMR vaccine and other existing childhood vaccines.

chances are they may die from such vaccine

One would think that would show up pretty clearly in clinical trials pretty obviously (which isnt the case and is just a scaremongering line to say)

                  • -1

@SBOB: Dude this vaccine is only been around for less than 2 years, how do you say there is enough clinical trials to prove safety of it? you cant just ruse vaccines out of the lab like that.

                    • @sammyla: You do realise that this vaccine is based of SARS and the link between SARS and COVID, right..

                  • +1

@SBOB: Interesting today I noted a homeopath trying to scare people about the vaccine showing that it can cause myocarditis (inflamed heart muscle).
I guess they didn’t research enough to find that many very effective vaccines in the past also had this risk, and that it was temporary and goes away.

Geez… the amount of ‘google researchers’ out there. Along with criminals like ZuckerPunch who likes antivaxers as it increases his FakeBook traffic.

                    • @FredAstair: Myocardits, Pericardits, Bells Palsy, Blood Clots, so tell me has your yearly flu shot given you any of these? come on man, if you didn't experience these great but there are people who get adverse reactions from these COVID vaccines. i know plenty about SARS COV2 and SARS because i have read up on it from the first article on the virus Genome sequencing, i have also read up many journals, not going to write paragraphs here.

    • +1

      yeah
school starts at 9, crunch and slip at 10 lol
mask will last 1 hour if that
I don't even wanna think about when my kidngoes to get bathroom with the mask

I prefer he doesn't wear it hmmm

  • +2

My 4 year old can wear the mask no problem. My 2 year old will copy his brother and wear it, but he takes it off after a while. When he remembers again he will ask for it back so it’s 50/50 with him.

It’s hard to find kids masks, will buy a few boxes, this isn’t going to go away anytime soon.

    • +3

If your 4yo is wearing it correctly all day, well done. They are the exception.
How many adults do you see with it pulled under their nose? Pushing it down to eat or drink with it still on? Not replacing it with a new one every time they take it off? Washing or sanitizing their hands every time they touch it?

  • +2

For those turning their nose up at protecting children, guess which finger I’m holding up?

    • -2

No, but with the basic hygiene skills of most kids, most parents would be better off teaching them to do things like washing their hands properly and regularly, not sticking their fingers in their mouths all the time etc. For many kids, a mask send to be more about giving grown ups a false sense of security.

Bottom line, i don't care which finger you're holding up, but i do care where it's been and whether you've used sanitiser on it.

    • -2

i see you are holding up the Thumb, good work mate that's the way.

  • -4

For everyone here who is so high and mighty to think kids wearing mask stops covid being spread your kidding yourself and acting a fool. Aslong as all parents, grandparents etc are vaccinated there is no need for this and its complete overreach…
No kids has ever got seriously ill from covid, when a child is infected with covid its no different to when a child goes to child care and gets sick which anyone that has a child knows happens pretty regularly..

    • +1

I mean you could be right, buts it really is foolish to assume the kids will be alright. Kawasaki disease comes to mind.

      • And then comes the Yamaha disease

    • +2

"No kids has ever got seriously ill from covid"

Thats a pretty ignorant comment. Plenty of kids end up in hospital. Some kids die, around 700 in the USA.

Sure they at less risk, you can't claim no kid ever got seriously ill though.

  • Isnt Johnnyboys a pizza shop? Since when did the pizzashop started selling masks? not enough people eating pizza?

I mean seriously? kids that age cant even keep their shoes and socks on properly and now get them to wear a mask? good luck with that.

    • If there was a bush fire and smoke and haze

      Hazard for health

You wouldn't try to get your child to wear a mask

Or just let them take the health hit.

      • My older son is 5 and younger is 5 months, i wouldn't bother with a mask really unless i'm in close proximity to a bush fire haze, plus for bush fire exposure you need a KN95 anyway not these masks, lived through one at the start of the 2020 from NSW fires. im in VIC luckily i have air purifying air cons as well as seperate air purifiers,it was not great to be outside the house at that time i know.

        • For bush fire really need face respirator

          N95 are a bit leaky
