In the meantime, I got this monitor down to the same price as the last eBay sale.

Also got the Inspiron 15 2-in-1 Laptop down to $1124.55 (apply promo code FREEDOM45).

Not sure if the promo code will stack with cashback but you might be able to get a further 1.5% cash back through your preferred provider.

    Nice, now waiting for more!

    • I got one 49 one for $1200+ from previous deal

      • when was this? link?

      • +2

That’s amazing price for that monitor, can’t believe I missed that one, it was an incredible price, wonder if a deal like that will ever happen again.

        • @dealbot … is it possible at all…for a deal on this monitor? wink:*

  • +2

Thanks for this! Just waiting on the s2721dgf to go on sale!

    • +8

The 3422 is the only monitor I could get this time.

The upcoming promo will be gaming desktops and laptops.

      • -2

when you say 'upcoming', does that mean Friday? Will Alienware be part of the discount given that it is currently on discount?

    • s2721dgf now 40% off on dell

      • Still at $479.39 it is $80 more than the last eBay Dell sale on 20/09

        https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-27-gaming-monitor-s2721…

        • +1

          Just bought one for now.

JB Hi-Fi in my area price matched and I had a $50 voucher to use against it - worked out to be $429.39 in the end w/ C&C!

Not the best price but definitely a lot cheaper and will just wait for the next sale to get it cheaper and balance the costs overall.

          • @Kimchisoup: I can't argue against that, reports on Dell delivery times are mixed.

            • +1

@Xenocaust: I ordered based on the last deal on Friday, it delivered Tuesday. YMMV

    • +1

What's the usual condition for items from Dell's outlet store if anyone has bought from them before ?
As the S2721dgf is $379 delivered with 3yr warranty on there.

      • +1

Thanks, I ordered one at that price.

It'll be interesting to see the condition - if it is too bad I'll return it.

        • +1

Just got a Dell 24" monitor for the kids PC and it looks basically brand new, came with displayport even though it doesn't have DP port, hdmi and Usb cables.
Saved nearly 50% over new price and it includes 3Y Premium Panel Warranty with Advanced Exchange Service

          • +1

@CheapGit: Took a week for delivery (I'm in WA so can't fault that), the unit appears to be brand new.

No complaints at all for me, a bargain at $379 with 3 years warranty.

  • Cheers mate, when are you planning to publish some of these new deals?
I'm currently looking for a new monitor but 34" is too big for my desk.

  • Good work Dealbot! Eagerly awaiting the next few.

  • +4

Does Dell have any 32"/34" gsync monitors? If so, let me know if you've got upcoming deals on those please

  • Amex deal for dell if you’re lucky too. $1200/$140 back

  • +8

    Another 32" 4K deal thanks!

    • yes, also interested in at 4k deal pls

  • Fantastic deal. Does dell do many deal on accessories? ie Dell UltraSharp Webcam - WB7022?

  • I'm looking to replace my 49" samsung qhd with a 34" and 27". How would this compare to the Samsung in gaming and office work (note on my 49" i only play with the same aspect ratio as if it was a 34"

    • Why replace?

      • I love the 49" but i never use it as q 49 and it is annoying on my setup. Every morning i have to enable the functionality to split the screen having 2/3 on the left for work and 1/3 on the right for my gaming pc. Then i need to change the input on the left from display port to hdmi2 then the right side to be display port 1 and then again the left side to be hdmi 1. Then when i want to play a game i have to disable the multi display and then change the display from hdmi to display port.

Apart from that, by using the screen in this split way i actually never have anything in the centre of me. My work side of tge screen is always a bit off center due to me splitting the screen. So was initially thinking of a 34" and then the same model in 27" which is my gaming pc during the day and at night i just single press the 34" to swop to display port.. then i was thinking to stack 2x 34" and do the same..

  • +1

How does this compare to the xiaomi monitor?

    • +2

Favourably, I believe the Nixeus in the comparison uses the same panel as the Xiaomi.

  • +23

You can get further discount with student/education coupon( 7% off).
    Dell 34 Monitor - S3422DWG goes down to $510.57

  • +16

Sneaky advertising. That 2in1 laptop was $1 cheaper last week with no coupon required. i know because I almost bought it.

    • +1

This laptop deal has been a long while from dell laptop deals.
They were advertising stock clearance on this laptop with 45% off.
Bought one on August and pick up another one last week with the same price.

  • +2

would be great if we can also have a deal for S3422DW please? :)

    • +1

+1 for the S3422DW. Been waiting for a sub $450 deal on this monitor.

      • What is the difference? I am really tenpted to get 2x 34 stacked instead of my 49" but i had a bad experience with a dell screen before. Bought it for my kid and ended up selling it due to it beibg very blurry even for a 1080

        • +5

The "G" version has more gaming features over the S3422DW such as; faster refresh rate (144Hz with DP1.4 vs 100Hz with DP 1.2/HDMI), AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, faster response time (2ms vs 4ms), brighter screen (400 cd/m² vs 300 cd/m², faster usb ports (USB 3.2 vs 3.0).
None of which I need because I don't game, so I'd just rather spend $100 less on a monitor

  • Picked up a S3422DWG a couple months ago. Was excellent except for one bright pixel in the centre. Dell were amazing and replaced it - the new one is absolutely perfect. Highly recommend for both the product and the service.

    • Does it have any smearing or blurry in either browsing or playing games? Very tempted to grab 2 of these to replace my 49" Samsung

      • I'm not an expert but could not pick any faults with it. USB hub is great too.

  • +7

Thanks to dealbot for organising the recent stock of AW3821DW, I've got it set up and am LOVING IT.

Unfortunately, I also bought a S3422DWG for my father as part of the last deal and upon set-up found a serious defect in the left side of the screen - horizontal lines through the whole monitor which clearly show when using the built-in diagnostics. After sending photos and a video to Dell, they told me that it was normal and if they replaced it the replacement screen would be the same.. I've asked their technician to take a look again as it definitely is not supposed to be like that. Finger's crossed the technician changes their mind - I purchased a Dell because I thought any problems would be simple to sort out, but it's taking a lot more effort to get this fixed than I anticipated. I've been told that we're waiting for the technician's feedback - I sent updated photos on Friday.

Album from the built in diagnostics: https://imgur.com/a/AbqfXDA

Also feels bad when you set up cool tech for the family but it ends up being broken :(

    • +7

You don't have to take that on the chin, Australian Consumer Law protects against exactly that kind of nonsense.

That certainly doesn't seem normal, and honestly I'd be quite surprised and disappointed if a replacement had the same issue as the tech said. I'm sure you wouldn't have bought one if you knew that it produced a defective image on one half of the screen and not the other - that's just absurd. Seems pretty clear cut to me; according to ACL a refund is warranted if you want one.

      • +1

Thanks for the support - I'm hoping that Dell comes to the party regarding the defects, I'm giving them some time but it seems like the tech is on holiday. It seems clear cut to me too and the agent on the call agreed, so I was quite surprised at the tech's response in the end. If they don't, I'll request a refund as per ACL.

      • +1

So they've offered to replace it with a refurbished part. In my experience, refurbished from Dell is usually basically as good as new, however I'm pretty surprised they won't replace with as new and then sell this monitor on after refurbishment. Am I being precious? Unsure if I should just request a refund and then buy new from this deal…

        • +2

Ask for a refund imo - you bought something new, it was no good out of the box, and now they want to replace it with something used. With refurbs you run the risk of getting a dud that somebody else returned for a defect deemed unacceptable by the buyer but acceptable by Dell's standards - this could mean excessive backlight bleed, bad pixels, etc. Just not worth it unless it's the only option.

    • +1

I was lucky enough to have been able to swap out and return vis eBay plus my faulty s3422Dwg. Dell said they were going to update me on stock eta, otherwise I'd ask for a refund since I did not want to wait another 2-4 weeks.

Within days, dell resent a replacement without getting back to me. I kinda wanted the option for refund as I can't bear reinstalling and find another issue but I guess it won't hurt If it works this time.

If not, I hope they don't make a fuss for what would be a second return.

Positive is they sent out quickly if I was super keen for the replacement.

Negative, though communicated well initially, Dell didn't hold up their end of the deal as they newer updated me. I know it can be taken for granted, but I've bought a few dell items lately and just didn't want another bad experience. Fingers crossed.

      • Interesting, I'll keep an eye on a random replacement appearing then :O

        • Did you buy through eBay? Do you have eBay plus? Your mileage may vary. I made it clear when I requested refund as to what my expectations were … and they sent it out asap -_- refund would have been nice but happy to try again as said.

I'm just hoping when it comes it'll work as it's supposed to. The experience has been okay but did not expect it as I had never seen negative reviews .

          • @IamaCam: Yeah I did buy through ebay and have ebay plus. I've asked for a refund if they cannot replace with a new item, just waiting for them to tell me to action through ebay or through them.

            • @bigtom_999: Yeah okay fair enough. I requested a return, then pm'd to confirm which gave me a quick response otherwise I'd be waiting silly. Then shared the conditions I had experienced which was when it was promptly sent out before confirmation of stock availability for replacement or for a refund. Arrived yesterday but I wasn't home. So 7 day turnaround. I advise making sure you're at home as star track is a pain for collection for me.

              • @IamaCam: Keen to know how it goes with the replacement, still hesitating on getting one…

    • +2

This seems to be resolvied by profile installation… https://www.reddit.com/r/ultrawidemasterrace/comments/oua5ix…

      • +1

Thanks for the suggestion! I did try to install the drivers before attempting the built-in diagnostics: unfortunately as the pictures I shared are from the BID, no computer was plugged in and so the defects are present in the screen itself.

  • +1

    Any chance for XPS 8940?

  • ty so much was gona wait for black friday but such a good price. just brought one.

    • holy frick, is it that time of year again already? Man this year went fast as fuk

  • I purchased it on Friday already, crap

  • +2

OP, any chance to get S2722QC or QS included in this deal?

  • +3

OP, any chance to negotiate the AW3821DW again to 1300?

  • -4

OP what was involved in your hard negotiations? Water boarding? Bullying tactics? Sleep deprivation?

Or did Dell just say "here are some things we can discount" and you were "k".

  • Damn I have Xiaomi 34" ultrawide coming from gearbite tomorrow, should I return it and get this

  • Great work OP.

with offices reopening soon, we might not see these deals anytime soon. Dell will be back into business

  • Good bot.

  • how heavy is this 3422. any chance to fit on single arm which support 32in and up to 8 KG monitor.

    • brateck that supposed to handle 9kg is struggling for me :-( as in I have to really tighten it to be slightly acceptable

    • Works well on my arm chief. Goes okay on the monitor arm too (blitzwolf bw-ms2) iirc. Had to tighten it a bit but she holds up.

  • Thanks for the deal, had been waiting for the DGF offer again, but this is a pretty good deal, so pulled the trigger.

  • curious to know whats the use case (games in particular) for a 34 " ultrawide as opposed to a dual 27" setup .

    • +4

I don't think you're trolling so I'll bite. Any game where you don't want a black border down the middle of your screen and for more immersion, not necessarily more competitiveness.
Driving sims, flight sims, space sims.
I've found it great for isometric or top down games cause you just have more situational awareness. This probably applies to 3rd and first person shooters too.
You can also watch movies in 2.38 aspect ratio. Anamorphic (widescreen) movies have an aspect ratio of 2.39 so basically no black bars.

      1 monitor instead of 2…….

  • I literally ordered this monitory yesterday for $639. FML

    • Same… Well last deal for 629 or whatever it is. I just ordered another one… Hard to say no at 549

      • Haha you generated a student discount right? Didn't use it? xD

    • If it was on eBay or Dell, you should be able to cancel and reorder, Dell will probably price match in their site.

      • I ordered based on the previous deal. Requested for price match today. Lets see how it turns out

  • Where do these monitors sit in the grand scheme of things? budget or about midrange?

    • Went ahead and ordered one anyway

  • +1

Does anyone know if shipping is likely to be any faster when buying directly through Dell like this as opposed to their eBay store?

    • +2

Not sure about their eBay store but I received mine a little over 2 weeks after purchase from Dells website.

  • Thanks, OP. Any chance of getting some good deals for the lower end monitor (e.g. S2721HN)? Just need a cheaper one to be used for my home office. Many thanks. : )

  • For anyone with a student/faculty .edu email address, I strongly recommend contacting dell directly either via phone or their online chat system. I managed to pick this monitor up for $479 inclu. shipping and received roughly a little over 2 weeks after purchase.

    • Wow. I thought it was just 7% off? Sounds like they give you more than that over the phone?

      • +1

I actually used their online chat to make the purchase. In short, convo went something along the lines of, I'm in desperate need of this monitor, sales rep asked when am I looking at purchasing, I said yesterday and they sent me a purchase link straight away. At the time the price including a dell promo code was around $690ish

    • What did you tell them to get a $75 discount lol? I’m also a student so want to make use of this

      • Legit told them I missed out on the Dell eBay store sale and couldn't afford the $690 sale price but was really sure on the S3422DWG monitor for my work and gaming needs and ready to make the purchase. Assuming all the stars, planets and galaxies in the universe align and that you get a decent sales rep, you just might get that additional $75 discount lol

        • +3

Sounds like you got lucky. Nice work.

          • +1

@misguided_will: I just tried via chat… No luck. They said it was already on sale and it was Dell's policy not to discount any further.

    • My kid is in grade 4 and has a .edu email.. can I use that :)

      • Don't see why not.
It just sends a code to your edu email address
Presumably if it'll work if it's a valid email

        • +1

Cool tx got the code. Can't apply the 20% saving as it only applies to items not being on special it seems. Can get the 7% one.. Now to think if I want to replace the 49" with 2 of these.. haha tx

      • with misguided_will on this. All they did to verify this was send a verification link. Not sure if they check per education provider/institute

    • +2

Ordered one for $510.57 with student discount. Thanks all! :D

    • +1

They said they will not discount any further and their policy is to not discount anything with cash off the product already

    • +1

when using the 7% edu discount, can you use it again or is it for single use?

    • Any chance you could send me a redacted invoice? Trying to purchase one as well :(

  • Fingers crossed for another S2721DGF deal soon as I missed the last one!
