I got this TV on the $1170ish deal from eebay a while back. I havent seen any glitches on it like the post above and I think its been pretty damn good, nps no issues. Im loving it.

Crazy not to get at this price. I recently sold my 55” q8 (for $750) for a c1. Honestly I wouldn’t have done it if I could do it again. Oled is deffiently better but man I miss the vibrancy and brightness that q8 had.

Yeah that is the reason why some people still don't want OLED.
I was even thinking of selling it, pocketing $400ish and getting the tcl c825 with the cash. I’m gonna try and stick with the oled though just it’s brightness Is a real let down when gaming.
But absolutely people shouldn’t instantly assume an oled is the best option. No doubt amazing picture but not for everyone especially when a tv can be had for this price the oled IMO just isn’t worth 2-3x as much.
Had a Q8, it was plagued with unsolvable issues from day one (random information messages popping up out of nowhere, ridiculously dim Dolby Vision, etc etc) so I returned it. Got a Sony X90J, great TV but of course much dearer.

Just thought I’d chime in for others if they see this. I have the Q8 and think it’s a great buy at this price-point.I was periodically having the Display Info prompt appear on screen (the one that shows your resolution setting). I have a AppleTV 4K / Nintendo Switch / Wii U connected to the TV.
What I figured out was whenever the Wii U went into Standby mode (Orange LED background check for s/w updates) from Off (Red LED), it’d cause the Display info prompt to appear (while using AppleTV/Switch).
Unplugging the Wii U hdmi solved this, not sure why it caused it as it’s not the HDMI source I’m watching but there you go :)

wow amazing value. have one and it is brilliant TV for the money. Very very close in PQ to my sony 9500h
Lot of issues as per owners of this model and the newer one on Whirlpool forum. Very confusing reviews. Some people are very happy with their units but some had completely opposite experience. So many replacement stories their… The features and PQ are fantastic at this price but but…those posts on Whirlpool.

my friend has one. Response time is horrible and serious colour banding.
You might be confusing models. Or your friend had poor bandwidth while test-streaming for you, hence the compression and banding…

For my old TV and other smart TV's, when I chromecast it'll automatically switch the TV on and/or switch to HDMI. But for this TV it doesn't do it, It's a bit annoying but does anyone know any fix or experiences this too?
Don't have the TV or any HiSense TV for that matter, but there's probably a setting for HDMI CEC that is disabled somewhere.
