Having had the basket type air fryer before (Philips XL) I would strongly recommend the more conventional oven style as they seem to have much more even cooking, separate trays to cook more items at the same time and the one we got also has a rotiserie function. Each to their own i guess but always found the basket type very limiting. We got the Instant Pot Vortex Plus Air Fryer Oven from Amazon on special for $199 (its about $230 now).

    • Interesting to know! I just ordered this one as we were weighing up between the $130 one from Kmart, this Tefal or the Philips XXL, which is around $550 atm.
Didn't know about the Pot Vortex one you've recommend but hopefully the Tefal works out

    • Thanks for the suggestion of this brand

    • I was thinking the oven style air fry as well but was advised otherwise. Said with oven style, more uneven cook (need to move top to bottom) and rotisserie attachment is flimsy etc. How's your experience with kmart fryer? Thanks

  • Showing $399 for me?

    • That's odd it's now showing for me at $399 too. I will take the post down if needed. I put my order through at $199 so not sure what's happened. Apologies if it's some sort of error

      • It was definitely $199 when I checked earlier. It's probably been ozbargained :)
Anyhow, I still think the Oven style ones are better overall.

Bought this exact item 2 months ago for $160. It’s been a awesome purchase but has been cheaper.

  • Forgot to mention I also purchased it from David Jones.

  • Got it for $159 last time paid for using Amex points and I still feel let down compared to my OG philips.

  • Just checked and is showing as $199 again

  • There is stock
