Can you some up with a system 5600G,500GB SSD & 16GB ram for a good price similar to this deal : https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/625843

      • Not a chip we've looked into, so haven't heard anything about availability etc. If enough ppl are interested (straw poll via upvoting your comment maybe?) we can look into it?

        • I guarantee you considering current market on cards many people on here will be

          • @supatight: We shall see………..

          • +5

@supatight: Nah appreciate the lead, will check it out

@luketechfast: Think of it as the updated Ryzen 3600 lol Bang for buck.

              • @DMak92: 3600 doesnt come with the APU though, which is the biggest draw of the 5600g. But its not as good as a 5600x so there are sacrifices.

        • @luketechfast Any word on a possible 5600g integrated graphics (upgradable) system as noted here?

          • +1

@armyadam: I believe we have some coming in yep, no pricing details confirmed as yet.

    • +1

This is one of the less good Techfast Deals, as the 3070 can be had for $1299 so the cost would be $2342. Not bad considering the current times though.

      • +1

where can you get a Trio for $1299?

        • It doesn’t come with a trio, the GB Gaming Oc is $1299 at PLE and eVGA xc3 is $1299 at bpc tech

          • @CrazyBargainCatcher: PLE hasn't sold any 3070's at those prices since pretty much release lol, so thats a bit of a moot point. Also can't load the bpctech 30-series page to prove you wrong there either ahahah.

        • You can get a neptune for $1400 and that's the best card in the lineup

    • Who downvotes a PCPartPicker comparison?!

    • Order Placed, Thanks Luke, look forward to the computer soon.

  • Good price.

Would this system be worth the $500 upgrade from the ryzen 5 3600 + 3060 ti techfast deal from October?

    edit: for reference https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/658509

    • +1

would also like to know, that link also has a 1tb ssd.

    • -2

No, 5600x with a 3070 is kinda pointless

      Should either be 3600 + 3060ti/3070 or 5600x + 3080

      • I need CPU power :(

  • Luke, can you get your hands on AMD RX 6800 or 6800 XT at all?

    • No can do

      • have you been told why you can't get your hands on them? are they just scarce or are they too expensive?

        • +4

          Yes

  • @luketechfast If someone just ordered a GTX3070 from you (which has shipped) could a deal be worked out to purchase this and ship the rest of the system?

  • +1

Waiting for a deal on a 5800x or better paired with a 3080, come on Luke

Shout out for the Gungnir, nice case (I have 2 of them).

However, some things to point out about it:

    • Case has a type C front header….make sure the motherboard in this config or alternative config supports it, otherwise you have a useless front Type c port
    • Default fans are good, the 111R fixes the one foible with the 110R that the fans were ARGB - there was an LED button on the front but it did nothing lol. The 111R fixes this I think.
    • This is a very good airflow case - the front open mesh half and the side grills suck in plenty of air (I have both mine set up for suck from front (stock 120mm x3), push out in all other directions (1x 120mm rear, 2x 140mm top)
    • Top mesh filter is magnetic but the fineness of the mesh is definitely airflow restrictive (I just dont use it)
    • cable management is pretty good but not the very best I have seen - behind the PSU and next to the hard drive trays (if you still use them) can be a little tight but still easy enough to do
    • It's a wide case…I repeat its a WIDE case and will also comfortably take a hardcore air cooler and a beefy/long GPU
    • Tempered glass is nice and thick (high quality) but its an old school set up (slide it in, then screw in the knurled thumb screws - no hinges - some like this, some don't)
    • You have to be a little careful pulling/lifting it around by the grill - you can accidentally pull off the whole front fascia (it's designed to do this so nothing is broken) but you have to hodl from the bottom when carrying it around (did I mention it was heavy and bulky?)
    • looks great blacked out with little bling bling RGB's…but I guess it would look nice with RGB's too
    • Case is pretty quiet but nothing like a dedicated quiet case (though the tradeoff then becomes thermals)

    • Thanks for the in-depth review!

This or the 3070ti build for $100 more? Would be for gaming purposes mainly.

    • +1

Which is the 3070ti build? Link?

      • Ryzen 5 3600 RTX 3070 Ti Gaming PC: $2388 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/659970

        • +1

$100 more for a last gen CPU and hotter G6X memory in the GPU with 5-7% faster performance for 70 more watts. - pass on that, get the 5600X and 3070 for Higher IPC and less bottleneck while being cheaper, if E-sports are your thing you'll 110% be even better off with the 5600X.

how many more deals will be announced for black friday before i make my final decision?

  • Do you send the units tested and working and all?
Do we have to flush our own bios when we receive the unit?
Friend bought one and it powers on but does not output anything to monitor.

    Support had been very slow

    • Yes, PCs are fully assembled, stress tested and with updated drivers. No BIOS flashing (or flushing) required. If your friend's PC has arrived and doesn't output to monitor, the first thing to check is that the monitor cable is being plugged into the GPU not the motherboard output ports - sounds simple but is the basis of many no display queries. If no luck, try reseating/gently pushing the GPU and RAM into their respective slots as they can occasionally come slightly unseated during transit; you will feel and hear a click as they reseat if they have been. Otherwise, the Support team will reply as soon as they are able - feel free to provide an order number here or via PM so I can escalate if required.

      • His cables are all plugged in correctly (he sent me a photo)
monitor works (tested on his laptop)

He contacted support Monday and was told he will be sent a check list of things to check when the support is able to do so.

        • Should have received reply same or next day, PMd you for details. UPDATE: Customer has been receiving replies from Monday through until yesterday and I've escalated again to ensure resolution.

          • @luketechfast: Thank you. Hope it is resolved soon.
I spoke to him Monday and today so may have skewed the perception that he didn't get a reply. He did but it is still being sorted out.

  • Why my one said 2,488$ :(

    • add the code in checkout

    5600x 3080 deal … waiting…

  • any chance we can get a 3070ti with this?

  • +2

I sit patiently waiting for the 3060ti deal lol Come on Luke! Help a poor bloke out please!
I saw the deal from a while back but was hoping for a black friday special :)

  • Hey Luke. Good to have you back.
Is it possible for you to do a deal similar to this one https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/587280 ?
I would, personally, buy one in a heartbeat.

  • +1

Can we expect anything in the <$2000 realm again for a 3070/3070 ti deal like this one from EOFY?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/630944

    • im holding out for that too but i dont quite think were gonna see it, especially the 3070ti sub 2k

  • Decent deal. Have just ordered one. Looking forward to seeing what the TechFast customer experience and systems are like.

  • Was going to pull the trigger on this but thinking of getting this 3080 one instead https://www.bpctech.com.au/product/kp-ps-blackfridayspecial-…

Any opinions on whether I should max out the upgrade options?

  • Hi Luke,

Can I suggest in future you advise customers of the Order Processing and Handling fee of $155.75 before they get to the checkout (happy to be corrected if I missed it somewhere before that) as its off putting for a customer to be given an extra $155 on top of what they were expecting to pay at the last moment.

    TY.

    • CORRECTION on my last; I didn't realise I had ZipPay selected as the payment method which automatically adds the extra cost. Techfast advised they will refund it after payment is processed.
