Any deal for 3070 or 3060ti for under $2k?

  • +18

Good morning Luke. Is the video card mini?

    • +1

I realise your joking, but it literally says what the likely models are in the description.

    • +12

Bradley says not a mini, but is dual fan.

        • +5

          u high bro?

        • +1

          The actual

        • I lold

        • Righto, some Austin Powers referencing going on here. But wtf is the context?

          • +4

            @sickaunt: 5G got to him.

            • @initiateit: Lol, most probable explanation. Dumb part is now I wanna watch the movies and I don't even like 'em. Guess the joke is on me then.

              • @sickaunt: Number 2 was my fave. But i do like Goldmember and the skin jar. Ooooh thats a keeper!

    • haha

Just doesn't seem that exciting compared to the 3070 builds ($1000 RRP at the time) for $1500 that happened earlier in the year.

Compiling on that getting the cards themselves for that price was near impossible, are 3060s hard to get for $900?

    • +1

Techfast themselves sell them for $878, so I'd say they have a pretty good supply of them (but probably not great margins).

In current circumstances this is a decent deal. 3500X still kicks hard.

  • Better specify with the correct size and spec

Or some snotty nose whinger might complain and cry about it 12 months down the track lol

Wow, desktops are almost reaching laptop level pricing. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/657602

  • +1

Really hope the use of Biostar MBs doesn't herald the use of Biostar GPUs

    • +2

Haha I saw that review. And no, it doesn't.

  • @luketechfast Any 3080Ti deals coming up?

    • +3

Possible, but unlikley with November allocations.

      • Cool cool.

  • Hey Luke, any 3070ti deals coming up for black friday sale?

  • +1

    6700xt deals any?

    • No word on allocation on anything AMD rn

  • Any more RTX 3060Ti deals planned? Should I go with this one, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/658509 or hold on if I want a PC for christmas in the 1500 - 2000 range?

    • +1

We're looking at 3060 Ti yep, but CPU is the question. 5600X may not be available to go up a step (and price would increase), and we may not go down into the 3500X pairing with the 3060 Ti.

      • Thanks Luke. Looking forwards to an even better deal on 3060 Ti + 5600.

      • +1

Any chance of a 3060ti deal at the 1500 price point?

      • Was hoping for a 3060ti myself but this deal looks pretty good and everything is a lot better than my current pc lol

  • Hi all,

I'm keeping an eye on PC pricing for a first gaming PC for my 14 year old. Would this system be considered entry-level or mid-range?

@Luke, If this is "mid-range", are you planning any Black Friday deals that are a step down from this build (if there is such a thing without it being a potato)?

    Cheers!

    • +1

RTX 3060 is really where it's at in the current generation of cards. I'd call this mid- to mid-high tier, meaning it's at the top end of 1080P resolution performance with High Quality settings and can go into 1440P performance (preferably with the R5 3600 CPU ugprade as well), but 1080P is the sweet spot. Unless older generation cards come back into supply, like RTX 2060, and in sufficient quantity to do a deal which will sell plenty of units and enable us to come up with a deal price, this is about where it's at. I would say it's unlikely this month.

      • Thanks Luke, appreciate the reply.

  • +2

Waiting for 6800 XT build, any chance?

    • Nup

  • Any 5600x and 3080 deals coming ?

    • I'd say unlikely given supply of both

  • Any 3070 deals coming up?

    • Looking at it

  • Is there a Youtube channel that can get me up to speed on what all this means. Am looking for introductory level to get me to the point where I move from my super old gaming PC?

    • +1

You could check out JoeyDelgado. He does some really nice budget PC builds and he goes into detail about parts as well.

      • Thanks. I've added videos to the watch list (y)

    • +1

step1.decide what your max overall budget is
step2.decide the percentage of that budget that is taken up by the monitor (screen) cost
step3.find out monitor specs within that percentage
step4.spend the rest on a PC that fits those specs.

price to performance is far better at the lower end.

      • Makes sense, especially the price-to-performance.

  • This is exceptional to see TF keeps pumping out cheaper and cheaper deals every week, hope others are following this soon!

Ive been in the market for a pc the last few months and the ozbargainer in me really wants a great deal and I think Luke tech does the best but every time one comes up there's always something wrong with it whether be the graphics card, ram or processor. Just want that holy grail to appear so I can buy it lol

    • Agreed, I’m in the same boat, been thinking of building my own (even though that would be hard) so that I can at least choose my own parts and get an overall solid build.

I don’t want the holy grail but I just want an overall solid build. Every time a new PC build comes out, I feel like the comments state that even though it’s an overall decent build they cheap-ed out on certain parts

  • Just a quick quesion Luke or any other member, if you upgrade the GPU to MSI Ventus 2X, would this model have LHR? Thanks

    • Yep, all LHR

  • Can you ship it non built? I love building PC's and this one will be for a sibling so I was going to show them how to build it.

  • I thought we aren't supposed to order from Techfast or Luke at Techfast.

  • Self confessed tec noob so unsure about most of this stuff.Had heard there was an issue with windows 11 and AMD and was wondering if anyone here could set me straight on that or not.Been a bad year for me and i have taken a huge financial hit so i cant afford to spend too much.My pc is on deaths door so i desperately need a new one and im hoping this deal is good enough

  • how many black friday deals do techfast usually provide during this period ?

  • Luke,

Can you please be more specific on the X570 motherboard upgrade on this deal.

IE, if I place an order immediately what would I be looking at?
