Why is the website charging me shipping if your quoting $5 delivered?

    • +1

I paid $5 delivered. It has an option for free shipping by road

    • +1

Once you apply the coupon code at the cart page a free shipping option would become available (see this screenshot https://prnt.sc/20103n2)

      • Thank you Poolspa, I was lucky enough to get one this time :)

I later found the discounted after leaving the website and returning, the code entry was done during the payment process which caused this odd behavior.

  • Nice! Thanks @poolspa !!

  • Thank you OP :)

  • Thank You OP, got one

  • Thanks OP, i missed the last one, just in time for summer!

  • Awesome, I love this deal every year!

  • Thanks again

  • Thanks OP!

  • Thanks OP !

  • Thanks guys - I've been using the test strips and varying success to learn on. Feel like this will help immensely!

  • How are these better than the test strips?

  • Got one, thanks. Yes test strips can be wildly inaccurate. Never had a problem with these.

  • +1

Silly question, why use this instead of taking to a pool shop which will tell you exactly how much of each chemical is required? Does this also tell you quantities of chemicals required?

    • +4

More convenient, plus most pool shops try to upsell you stuff that you don't need.

      • I went from test kits to pool shop and then back to test kits.

Pool shops will find something your pool needs no matter what. Next time your pool is at absolute PERFECTION take a sample of water to the pool shop - guarantee they will tell you that you need to add something.

I find home testing far less hassle than going to the pool shop.

      My thoughts exactly.
I have this, as well as pool strips.
But both are a pain and not worth the hassle.
I have three or four pool shops nearby who will to a test for nothing and let me know exactly what I need.
I have never felt hassled to buy anything from any of them - although I do eventually pick up some acid from them when needed.

      • Each to their own, I find going to pool shops a hassle

When I had a pool, I'd use a similar kit, could easily determine the loss of chlorine and how much bleach I need to add, etc, all in an instant at anytime of day or night.

  • An ozbargainer with a pool I don't believe it. Get your pool tested while sitting and enjoying your free coke Zero!

  • Thanks OP, great deal!

  • Got one thanks OP

  • Environmental Science and Technology Letters, found that in a 110,000-gallon pool, swimmers released about seven gallons of urine.

Any chemicals you can put in a pool that immediately reacts to urine?

  • Will these test stabiliser levels?

Dammit! Every year I miss this.

    • Same miss it each time snd missed again

  • I managed to grab one so thanks! Being a take to pool shop since I moved into this place kind of person I am a bit new to self testing. Do they also mention best way to work out what amounts of chemical you need to add etc once you have your results?

  • This is a great deal and love seeing when it pops up.

If you want to get serious, get the total pool test kit from clear choice labs and use the Pool Math app to record your levels. It will then tell you what to buy from Bunnings to manage your own chemicals.

  • pfft we don't need no test kit
