  • Oh crap i dont have enough funds left in my new CC i'll need to split payment i guess doing a phone order or something

  • +5
    • 2k extra for 6 inches. That's a lot haha. At least you get 12 inches jump for a little more than 2k going from 65 to 77

      • Also worth noting an extra inch on a larger screen is more area than an extra inch on a smaller screen:

        65" - 11647cm²
        77" - 16345cm² (an extra 4698cm² over 65")
        83" - 18991cm² (an extra 2646cm² over 77")

  • and heeeeeeeere weeeeee go

  • This or Sony XJ95 85"? My room is 4.9m long so thinking 85" would be the better option?

    • Does it have bright natural light? I opted for a XJ95 for the reason

      • Yes will be in living area that has north facing sunlight via sliding doors, so quite a bright room.

        • Unless I read the wrong reviews. Oled is more suitable for dark theatre like rooms, Qled (brighter) is Better for well lit rooms.

          • @Bargain-er: Think I read that too! Hoping the XJ95 goes on sale soon then!

          • +1

@Bargain-er: In practice, this doesn't really pan out that much unless you have super bright rooms. I have the B1 in a bright room and it's fine.

Genuinely happy with 65” Sony A80J which i got for under $3k after cashback. But if this price was available few months back I would have jumped on it. Damn!!

  • +1

Jb have it listed on there website today at $4995 save 2k

    • Also noticed they listed the 83 inch $6995, nice.

  • If VideoPro can do $4850 surely others can….

  • Hoooly shizzle! WHAT A STEAL!

    I'LL TAKE 6!!!!

  • Got 77” back in July for $5400 and though it was a good price :D . Get it guys , it is phenomenal TV if you are into Movie and gaming .

    • How is gaming on a 77 mate? Is it difficult if you play shooters? That's my only concern. I know I would think 65 is too small but I play a lot of games currently on a 55. Although more sporting games than anything

      • Fps is ok , though Tv is never ideal for shooting game ( i still prefer warzone on my Pc over this ) . Sport and other games are great , probably best TV you can get for next gen console as low input lag, contrast etc
65” is good size for gaming i guess , 77” is immersive though

  • What price will cashrewards bring this down to? 4.7?

  • How's the PQ in these things going? Have they caught up to my Plasma yet? :)

  • Big drop but is only $4000 (USD $2899.99) in the US.

    https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-77-class-c1-series-oled-4k-u…

    • And the 65 is only 2.2k in the US. Our pricing is different

    • +1

      what about taxes on top

  • Hell yeah - I knew this bad boy would go sub $5k soon! Let's go!

  • FFS just picked this up a couple of weeks ago for $5600

    • +1

I feel your pain. I bought this 4-5 weeks ago as I was guaranteed by LG that it would be $5995 for Black Friday and it wouldn’t be dropping down any further than that this year. They changed there mind around lunch time today and dropped it another $1000, I wasn’t happy!

  • Does this suffer burn in?

  • Reckon there's a chance these sell out at this price? I was hoping to wait a few days for confirmation on some money coming through before jumping on one of these, but this price seems almost too good to pass up.

  • +2

  • Increased my credit card limit for this.. hope it goes through soon!

5k for a TV with burn-in screen that uses software to "try to prevent" that from happening??

    Yeahh nahhhh

    • You sound like you can't afford it

  • I'm just surprised Tv's can be this expensive now. They must be making a pretty margin on the larger-screen models.

  • Is it worth paying an extra $1,000 for the A80J?

    • No. There isn't enough difference in picture quality and features to justify another $1K in price.

  • Hey guys need the size but can’t afford 5k any recommendations for around 3-4K ? But really wish I could afford this tv
