40
Blackfriyay

Looks like the Black Friday sales have well and truly started, just saw this one on WillPro’s Instagram. We did our wills through them and it was a really easy way to do it, they’re doing half price until 26th November.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2021

These guys any good? Really need to pull my finger out and get a will.

Legal will kit is sold at the post office, single one is 24.95, couple one is 34.95. As i know we just need 2 witnesses who are not related and beneficiary to help complete the will. This one could be different?

Hey mate your code is wrong. It's actually blackfriyay, not blackfriday. I got the couples one. Mrs will probably cut my brakes now.

    • Ah bugger thanks, I’ve updated it. Hope it works well for you! Was a really good website when we used it, made it really easy

Don't be so unfair on your wife. I'm sure there are lots of people that want to cut your brakes!

After reading the product's details, i cant see anything special. Why does it cost double even at 50% off.

    • Is it basically the same as the post office one?

Get a free one via public trustee.

    • Thanks. Will try get one for myself

    • How is this free? Was looking at state trustees for VIC and they charge.

      • My apologies, didnt know some charged and others didnt. in QLD, it is free.

  • It seems like just a very expensive template.

I'm gonna sound real bias being a lawyer who works in Wills & Estate Planning but I highly recommend getting independent legal advice before preparing and signing a Will. These type of Will services and Will kits don't take into consideration your personal circumstances which may cause problems when you pass away or not truly reflect your wishes.

A good opinion. In saying that, if your life is pretty straightforward, then it doesn't matter. Also, I found the public trustee had an long face to face appointment and explained a lot of things in details to assist creating a will for us.

Of course it depends on everyone's circumstances and in certain situations visiting a lawyer would be ideal.

The hard part is to name the executor of the will who knows what they're in for.
It is a very complicated process imo.
The Public Trustee takes care of all of that.
(from experience when named executor of my late mother's will)

Yes the Public Trustee wants you to name them as executor (they will push, but it is not compulsory though) in the will that they prepare for you for free.
As an added benefit your beneficiaries will not have to worry too much about your estate because after the public trustee has charged their exorbitant and never ending (no interest in wrapping it up quickly because the longer it takes the more fees they can charge) executor's fees there will not be much left to worry about.
