  • Just wondering. Why would you get that over say this?. The TUF Gaming TUF-AX5400 is better is it not?. You can get it for considerably cheaper right now from Amazon UK.

Whether you want to risk the issues of a UK router.., less power output (= less range) and some channels missing….

But I was game enough to give it a go..

      • +1

As I understand it, lower power is only within the 2.4ghz spectrum, not 5Ghz. Some AU channels are missing from the 5ghz spectrum but some others are unlocked.

TUF-AX3000 is Amazon AU stock, 3 year Asus warranty, comes with a AU power plug and has all the AU Wi-Fi channels.

TUF Gaming TUF-AX5400 is Amazon UK stock, no warranty from Asus, UK power plug and has UK Wi-Fi channels.

      • +1

Incorrect about one thing. It does come with warranty from ASUS, just that the warranty pertains to the UK. So you have to ship it back to the UK for warranty. Well ship it to Amazon UK for that and they take care of it.

        • You beat me to it. That should be no local warranty from Asus.

    • So which is better?

  • is this better than mesh?

This just dropped in price again, looks like lowest its been in a while so I've picked on up!

  • With the price drop down to $255 now I'm interested in getting one.

Would you guys say this is the best price/performance WiFi 6 router?

Looking to upgrade from my Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2 which has terrible WiFi range

    • +2

This is probably leaps bounds better than the Telstra Smart modem well for your WiFi range with the multiple external antennas. And i don't think the Telstra modem has a dedicated gaming port.

      • Yeah, from what I've read this is a massive improvement over an ISP provided modem (I'm on an ancient one from Internode) so the improved wifi and range is really good value for what you get.

Noticed it moved a little further down to $248

    • fingers crossed it'll drop to $219 again

    • $232.96 now!
