[Backorder] Microsoft Surface Wireless Headset Black $77.43 + Delivery ($0 for Order over $100) @ Australian Warehouses

110

Not exactly a bargain, just discovered this amazing price for this headset. I was looking for a bluetooth headset for a reasonable price with flip-to-mute-mic feature so I can have my MS Teams calls on the go without having to keep pressing mute on and off. Has decent sound quality.

While the page says available on backorder, fortunately mine came within a week. I bought something else too which took the order more than $100 and got the zero delivery.

Here's what the page says:
All-day comfort
Comfortable on-ear design with lightweight, padded earcups for all-day wear.

Increase call clarity
With a background noise-reducing microphone and high-quality stereo speakers optimized for voice.

Flip to mute microphone
Featuring a status light that allows you to easily see whether you can be heard or not.

Certified for Microsoft Teams
Join meetings at a touch of a button and enjoy high-quality audio, plus easy setup and management. Teams Certification requires the included USB dongle to connect.

Long lasting battery
Up to 50 hours of music listening time1 or up to 30 hours of voice calling on Microsoft Teams.2

Convenient on-ear call controls
Including mute, volume, and the Microsoft Teams button.

For nearly $80 you could spend it on a much better headset with much better quality and more features tbh

      Example? I legit need one

Same here - if you have a suggestion please share.

        • Hmm, well are you looking for something for gaming or just office use etc.?

          • @TechnoHC: Please suggest office one.

          • @TechnoHC: I think you can gather office, since the entire product is based around office use. I cannot think of anything that would be this. These are premium and wireless

            • @Froot Loops: I think they seem.pretty decent for office teams andMS teams integration.

I was given Jabra from work, they work amazing so I guess these would be solid too.

@Froot Loops: Yes my bad. I do apologies for my weird response.

Very few allow you to mute teams though

    • I don't think there's a wireless headset particularly good for meetings in this price range.

      • +1

That's my bad. Sorry about that I did not see that it was the wireless ones haha. I thought it was just the normal wired ones

      • without a limit for price, do you have a recommendation for some good wireless headsets for office use?
I work a small room with my partner and we are often both in meetings or on calls and while i have a pair of Jabra evolve 75's which work great for me, her work provided her with a terrible 1 sided headset so she often complains about the noise when i talk.

The evolve 75 looks to be like $300 or so - and i'd love to upgrade her set if you have a recommendation cheaper than that.

Plantronics Voyager Focus UC Bluetooth USB B825 202652-01 Headset with Active Noise Cancelling approx $270 from Amazon. I had the Jabra evolve 75 and the Plantronics were far superior in every way.

Edit: I ran a call centre and replaced all the Jabra headsets with these due to the Jabras picking up conversations in the background. Make sure to use the dongle supplied as opposed to the Bluetooth in you computer and install their software. These work with teams too and have a voice guide to tell you if you're on mute. The bands did break in a couple, but they were mistreated. Some of them would be over four years old and still going strong.

I don't know why people keep buying Jabra headsets as I've used the evolve 65 and 75 and found both to be horrible. Poor mic quality, terrible sound and expensive for what they are. I haven't tried any of the newer Poly headsets (Poly is the new name for Polycom/Plantronics) as I stuck with the model that worked. Plus I didn't want others complaining or purposely breaking their headsets so that they could get a newer model.

Not sure about this actual Microsoft headset but I have the Microsoft wireless gaming headset and the mic picks up a lot of background noise too. Others have commented that the mic on my Razer sounds much better in that the voice is clearer and they can't hear other stuff such as me eating 😁.

          • @chigga: Love that. Thank you so much for the response - i'll def have to check out the poly/plats!

          • @chigga: +1 for the Plantronics.

        • My work gives me the evolve… Great headset but crazy overpriced…I would never buy it with my own money…

Possible price match at OW as they are selling them at $169.00

    • +1

Oh yeah, and doesn't Officeworks do the "beat it by 5%" after price matching.. No?

      • +1

Yes, they do. Not sure about how they deal with postage instore, but should be free if you match on the phone or internet as it's over $55

        • They will match Another seller + postage and offer to that at OW

          • @abs898: Thanks for clearing that up. I tend to get mixed result with OW in regard to charging postage or not.

            • +2

@Froot Loops: Sometimes depends on who's matching it, person to person. If it's shows backorder, they might not pricematch at all.

  • Is this website legit though? Their $ is after the number, not something that's common across Australian websites.

Some people have complained about the quality of the mic. Probably a no go for me
