    Reviews are curious on these, one said you can’t stream music or Audible to these? Only confined to using sounds from the Bose sleep app? Can anyone confirm?

      FWIW, the Nightbuds from Kokoon let you play anything – they even fade out when you start sleeping apparently. Only disclaimer is they're from Indiegogo. I preordered a pair for $265 a few months ago.

      I had 1st gen and now the 2nd gen. No problems with battery, magnets falling off, dodgy Bluetooth or rubbing on the pillow. 100% satisfied.

    If you were able to play your own music through these I would purchase. Being limited to BOSE's selections makes me apprehensive.

      No you can't. You can only connect to Bose Sleep app and you can't pick your own music in the app.

    The whole point of these is that they are small enough to fit in your ears without feeling like they are there when you are on your side sleeping. They work for what they are meant to, they aren't meant for listening to music/pod casts/things that will keep your brain active, they are meant for blocking out noises like neighbours/snoring/etc and keeping a steady and consistent noise/tune going.

    If you have trouble waking up during the night due to noises, these will work well. If you're looking for earbuds to listen to music, this isn't them.

    My partner and I have tried both these and the zenbuds - the sleepbuds 2 are a lot better quality and don't have the random disconnection issues that plague the zenbuds.

    You can buy them through BOSE and get the 90 night risk-free trial, they are 330 there though atm.

      Isn't that for me to decide? I have playlists that already do exactly this, I don't need Bose to curate my playlists for me. I guess I'll be sticking with by BT headband. It does the exact same thing but with more choice and only cost $20

        I think a lot of people are misunderstanding what/who these are for… The ability to stream your own content would be nice but these sleepbuds are designed to be as small and unnoticeable as possible so that it can serve its number-one purpose, which is to let users (including side-sleepers) to sleep comfortably without being woken by ear pain.
        Maybe Bose will cave in to requests and add the feature to v3, but at the moment adding those extra features would mean a bigger form factor and more complaints of discomfort. You'd be better off asking earbud manufacturers to make their regular earbuds smaller so you can wear them in your sleep.

        If you ever get to use them, you will see why the way these are built would prevent that. They don't really 'stream' it, they 'load' the track and then the phone tells them when to play the music. You can use them entirely without your phone once it's setup using the 'no phone' mode.

        These are more like tiny little mp3 players that play independently, that can by synced and adjusted via the phone, not earpods that stream what your phone is playing.

    Damn these have been dropping in price fast. I am doing a trial of them from Bose - they're ok. Turns out that noise isn't really what's stopping me from sleeping though.

    I've been trialling these and really enjoying them, BUT I can't stop them falling out of my ears during the night!! I've tried all 3 sizes, but it's like the ear wing pops out from my ear ridge. Only solution so far has been covering my ear with micropore tape, which is a pretty horrible solution.

    Bummed, because they were helping with traffic noise / tinnitus quite a bit

        For sure, just sounds like there aren't any other brands that really compare to this model at present :(

        Hopefully the next couple of years has loads of cheap alternatives now the tech is possible

    I gave them a try and returned them after a week. I got them direct from Bose since they let you return them for any/no reason with free shipping.

    I found them comfortable and they stayed in. Nice selection of tracks. But the sound of my own breathing was too loud with my ears blocked by these, I have same problem with any sealed earplugs. Unless I cranked up the volume, but then the soundtrack was too loud to sleep. No happy medium to be found. But everyone's built different, some people love them.

    These weren't very good for me. They play a white noise sound but prefer if it was ANC to block out the external sounds.

      Apparently QuietOn has ANC. I preordered the Kokoon NightBuds, but:

      It instead uses intelligent noise-masking and passive noise blocking to help reduce the impact of your partner snoring, noisy neighbours, traffic or other sounds that keep you awake at night.

        The QuietOn looks pretty cool but alas, the chunky design would be murder for side sleepers. I know there's some reviews that claim they're good for side sleepers, but I call BS on that, you can clearly see that it would impact your ear if you were to sleep on your side.

    Despite snagging these for the bargain price of $225 I returned them. The limited number of sounds in the library to choose from is their biggest downfall. I could only find 1 or 2 sounds I liked to fall asleep to, and after listening to those ones I could not bring myself to repeat them over multiple nights. Its all personal preference but these just didn't work for me. Would be much better if they allowed anything to be loaded onto them
