3.75% off Apple Gift Cards (5% Minus 1.25% Processing Fee) @ Entertainment (Membership Required)

41

I just discovered Apple gift cards were available through Entertainment. I can't see any time restrictions.

Definitely not as good as, say, when Coles / Woolies do a 20x rewards points (kinda sorta but not exactly like 10% off) when they happen, BUT when those aren't available, 3.75% is still better than 0%.

This is especially true after you've done any price-matching with the Apple Store peeps, e.g., I've had Apple price-match JB's 10% off Macs, and it'd be sweeter to pay with discounted gift cards on top, e.g., 13.75% > 10% off.

Details

Entertainment advertise it as "5% off iTunes eGift cards", but when you click through to redeem it references the "new Apple Gift Cart", with a "Debit card / credit card payment processing fee" of 1.25% of total order cost.

It also says "Buy up to $2500 Apple eGift Cards within 24 hours".

Available in denominations of $50, $100, $250.

Wow, is it really? I know there was one recently, but every couple of weeks?

Wake up son there one going on at Coles right now where the card can be swapped for Apple Cards at JB Hi Fi for 15% off .

    • lol Apple gift cards are not 10-15% off every couple of weeks. Lay off the pipe.

    • Extra rewards points is not the same as 10-15% off.

  • To be precise, it's actually 3.8125% total discount.

kinda sorta but not exactly like 10% off)

Thank you for acknowledging this 🙂

And Apple's JB price matching ONLY applies to standard configurations, since that's also only what JB ever includes in their discount offer. And last time I asked Apple, they only price match up to 10% off their own prices, Since JB is usually $1 less than the RRP, Apple's price matched price is still $0.90 higher than JB's.

Love it! (We're talking about the Entertainment deal, right? Because I expect the Colesworth 20x points to be worth a bit more.)

Yeah that's right on both counts — I got the M1 Mac from Apple around this time a year ago by price matching JB's 10% special

  • 5% off at AAMI lucky club and Macquarie Bank with no processing fee..

    • Yeah, see, that’s way better. I don’t have those benefits but it’s maybe worth you posting that as an ongoing deal for those that do (unless it is already).
