    Hi. Are you the cheapest web service? What is the discount on HDD hosting? I am a total noob, I need a website. Do I have to pay someone to create it on your server? Or do you also help with some templates etc? Thanks

      Not sure about cheapest, but definitely quite cheap. As you can see with the comments here, support is our number 1 priority, and we try to keep costs affordable too.

      Send us an email or ticket and I can sort out a discount for HDD hosting too (50%). This would give you annual hosting at $27.50/year.

      As aldroid has said too, WordPress is probably easiest for beginners. We don’t really offer any help in actually creating the site unfortunately. If you need web design we can do that for a price but would need to be quoted - and if just a hobby site or small non-business site, probably wouldn’t be worth the cost to pay us to actually create it for you.

    I still have one obble hosting. Great deal for price. Good to see they now offer unlimited domains and email accounts now (mine is quite limited ). The lack of Installatron is a deal breaker for me though for main websites I look after… YMMV

    have used quite a few web hosting services over the last 10 or so years…from cheapest possible to quite expensive.
    Cheapest gave hassles, no support, expensive was reliable and support available after about 18 - 24 hours.
    Obble has been my best experience. Reliable, bloody quick support, excellent pricing.
    This isn't a paid comment, I'm just a genuinely happy customer like others who have bothered to comment. Obviously Obble must be doing something right :)

    Webcentral/Netregistry pissed me off with their renewal hosting being a lot more expensive than their advertised price on their website, so just put in a migration request.

    I only really use it for an email server so hopefully you guys work out cheaper without any dramas

      If you only need it for email why don't you use something like Zoho. Nothing against Obble, I'm a huge fan actually (great web hosting and support) but with Zoho you get redundancy with 3 AU based MX records, plus Activesync on mobile for full calendar/contact sync at around $2/mailbox per month.

        It isn't one mail account it is several, last time I checked cheap cpanel plans were more cost effective than these mail specific services - if I can count right, just 5 mailboxes though Zoho's cheapest option is more expensive than the Intermediate SSD hosting option above

          That is correct but it depends on how many mailbox you actually need and what you can get away with as far as aliases. Personally I never use web hosting email for my clients. I would either use Microsoft 365 or Zoho depending on their budget.

      Thanks for the comment. The discount is lifetime, and won’t change on renewal. Same for domains or really any of our services.

      Prices aren’t expected to change in future unless in line with inflation or increasing costs. And would only ever be to match our costs (not for further profit). Again - not on the radar any time soon though.

      No issues with Google Domains - Just select 'I will update my own name servers'.

      You don't need to transfer or register with us if you don't wish to :)

    Thanks just signed up and registered a domain name and static ip - cpanel seems really fast compared to a UK host I use for magento - how long before the new domain starts responding with the hosting usually? - I realise it needs to propagate round the dns servers. Any way to connect using an ip to setup wordpress etc?
