  • Because someone will ask:

Q: Can I use this on an Airplane?
    A: Is it <100Wh?

    • Will it fit in my back hole?

Wow ok what a spec monster. Can't wait for these to filter through to the market and come down in price

FYI can get this cheaper on Kogan $94, free shipping with First.

Thanks, ordered from Kogan as I had a $20 credit also.

If you google qb826, then click the second page, it says "Refurbished", yet if you look on their website, there's no mention of it being refurbished?

  • Is this what I need to charge a MacBook air M1 on the go.

Or is there a better alternative?

    • Yes it is compatible with Apple MacBook Air 13 2018 (A1932)

      • What about 2020 MacBook air M1 (MGN63X/A)

  • +5

Cheaper at Kogan at $94, plus $10 shipping

  • +1

I figured this would be better value but lower specs, especially for use while traveling ( was also $10 lower last week or via ebay plus )

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/392956760918

    • At the moment I can get $6.60 off with eBay plus. But there's still the $5 postage. So about $55.

      Was it $45 last week?

      • yes about ~ $45

        • Yeah, cool. So I can get like 2x of these for cheaper than one of the OP.

It looks like it should be about to charge the MacBook air M1 too.

I'll keep an eye on the price dropping with boxing day deals etc.

This was best value, too bad it's not happening again

  • Time to do the math. A 25,000mAh powerbank X 3.7V= 92.5W capacity.
If you were able to run this powerbank at full load 210W it would take the powerbank less than 27 minutes to have every electron sucked out of it and the powerbank batteries would be ruined. But the powerbank will usually shutdown before the batteries got critically low, so it would probably last no longer than 25 minutes. But 210W is impressive for such a little box. My house fridge uses less than 210W when it's cycled on!!

    • so you think it can't handle what it advertises? One discharge and dead?

      • I'd like to know too?

      • @lostn No I don't think that. I'm sure it turns off at a set voltage to protect the flat batteries, just like all other powerbanks.
My observation was just how quickly this powerbank could empty if used to the max.
It reminds me of Telstra/Optus claims of 5G speeds and what it means in reality. Telstra has proven theoretical speed of 2.5GBps (20gbps)
so if you have a 50GB monthly plan you could "theoretically" use your monthly data in 20 seconds.

        • yeah those speeds do seem a bit pointless with such low data caps.

if this battery advertises it can do 210W but it it shuts itself off soon after, I'd say you have grounds for a false advertising claim and should be given your money back.
